"Snug fit"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I recently bought two of these cases for two of my Jackson Rhoads V guitars - a 22 fret RR1 and a 24 fret RR Pro. Both fit well and it’s a pretty snug fit because of the longer, upper wing on those Vs. That snug fit will definitely prevent either of my guitars from moving around. The cases seem pretty sturdy & are padded well so no complaints on my part. Chances are I’ll be getting a couple of other cases for two of my Les Pauls next so I’m definitely satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this for my Dean Dime ml series cowboys from hell guitar. The fit is almost perfect. It's snug enough so that there is no movement at all. It was just a little tight when latching the lid but not enough to be a problem. Hope this helps.

"Works great, but if you are traveling and gigging you may want a little more."

It fits my Jackson Kelly, so I would imagine it will fit any other "Explorer Style" body shape just as well. I have not had a "V, warrior, or Dime" style guitar in it, so I cannot vouch for that. It's heavy, HEAVY, but it does leave a little wiggle room inside as a result of being designed with the variable of fitting many different "extreme" body shapes in mind. I use a little extra padding inside to fill in the gaps and try to minimize the guitar sliding inside the case. Because of it's HEAVY weight you will find yourself sliding it a little when picking it up and as a result it quickly developed a small tear in the leather covering the outside of the case on one corner, bummer. If I were gigging, touring or flying I would definitely want a form fitted, flight rated case for my "Explorer" shaped guitar, but it's miles above a gig bag. Your mileage may vary.

"Not great. Loose for for Explorer"

Bought for Epiphone Explorer.Would avoid this case. I wish the Epiphone case I ordered was not so botched that the explorer it was build for actually fit. This case was offered because of that issue, so I appreciate the customer service but this case is pretty much junk and likely to be replaced, so wasted money. Need to pad inside with a towel to get a tight fit.Feet on the short side are offset so far the case wants to fall over if I try to set it down in edge. Very bad placement and design. Cheap external construction. Used once and the lip edge on the lid already started splitting at one lid corner. Seems quite cheap compared to other Gator cases I have. Would not recommend or buy similar from Gator.
