I've tried everything imaginable to amplify my acoustics. This one is the best by far. The most realistic acoustic sound thru a d.i. you can imagine. I would say it gets you about 90% to where an actual microphone would be. For live concerts, it's such a pleasure to hear this sound coming up out of the monitor at you. For recording, a mic is still best, but often if I am going to be layering parts I will do a few with just the Aura going d.i., and then maybe one part that is actually a real mic on the guitar. The engineers at Fishman who figured this out should be commended. It's amazing. (and by the way - I do not work for Fishman nor do I endorse them or get free gear from them. I just think this is the best sounding thing out there and want to let people know)
