Great sound. Sure there's better out there, but then you're spending over $1,000. Most people would do better to upgrade their mic(s) before looking to upgrade from here, as long as you have enough inputs for what you record. Takes some tweaking with the settings at first to get optimal use w/DAWs, but once you get past that it works great. And any interface worth having is going to require some tweaking to work best with its system. Having the ability to tweak these items in and of itself is a plus.

Play guitar/bass for over 20 years. Been home recording for just a couple of years less than that.

Mainly Rock.

I've had the 6i6 for about a year now and I love it. Easy to set up with my MacBook Pro, low noise, great for my workflow on the road. A great addition to my gear arsenal.
Sound
I use this for podcast recording, voiceover and other voice related tracking including song vocals. Sounds great! Very quiet pre's.

I've had a few scarlett interfaces over the years. They always impress me. Especially with the preamps. These things are pro gear don't let the price fool you. The dual headphone jacks are a nice touch. That was my biggest complaint about the smaller models.

brand new. lasted 2 weeks then has serious issues. Something went wrong with the headphone jacks. The volume randomly changes for the incoming volume. I have to mess with the headphone 1/4 inch to get it to work. Seems like faulty wiring. I've tried using different jacks and headphones, all with the same result.
