I consider these more of a Mix Cube Monitor since they might lack lows but are really true and helpful to find the spots where to fix. They are also good for Video Editing too or even watching movies gives you a clear sound on what you want to hear and how. If you want some low end I suggest to get a subwoofer but if you are looking for Mix Cubes alternatives the Fx50s are really good and worth looking into, I have not seen alot of people review but I gave them a shot and they are worth the money. Hope Fluid Audio gets more attention on there FX monitors.

"Fluid FX5 in depth review"

Purchase in September 2021, very close monitor listening position. Good frequency responds. One may find the low end clearly lacking but it is present. I consider it a small NS10 Replacement alternative. The sweet spot is 4 ft away from your listening position. The volume perception is extremely low volume. If you cannot hear it in the mix, you know you did something wrong in your level's adjustment. Remember your listening position is 4ft or less. Real close monitoring. Forget about ik ARC and Sonar Works I have both of them and do not use them with it. I tried mixing in three untreated rooms. Man, this is the solution you are looking for. Exceptional low volume listen required. I dear Audiophiles to find fault in this very close listen Dynomite speaker. Its not a too forward speaker. But dose require a very long breaking procedure like 200 hours at least. My initial response when I first listen to this it was not mind blowing. I even said "WHAT the hell.... where is the Volume in this Piece of "SH" but it is a gradual process of forgetting listen to other speakers. it was not designed to sound like the traditional mixing speaker. Subs are not recommended to be used with this. Subs are only to be used just for brief for referencing. Dip the mids and high down -2db on the back switch. The fx 5 speaker sounds great listening to tidal with it even with MQA. again, no more than 4ft away extremely low volume well balance and flat the response is the key
