I purchased this guitar 9 years ago first one ever, had at least a dozen after that. The Fender DG-11 is still the one I play the most. I only paid 100 bucks for it with a case. You have to play your guitar and take care of it . Then again I'm a drummer that trys to play the guitar , so what do I know.

"Good sound, bad electronics, horrible quality"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
It's the best sounding guitar for the price... Unplugged at least. The piezo would sound fine if it werent for the volume and tone. They have little control and the threshold between silence and low volume is unforgiving. It sounds too bright and even a bit harsh plugged in. Like I said though, it sounds awesome unplugged so if you really wanna gig with it, mic it up with a shure 57, shure 58 or sennheiser 835.
Features
No features except volume and tone, and they suck. Many acoustics are now coming with tuners buit in. Fender should use a nice fishman system, cheap ibanez's are even using them
Quality
I have not treated this guitar the best but it still should have held up better. Hardly stays in tune and the saddle has cracked and nobody will fix it for less than 80$ It was extremely disappointing

Play alot of gigs

"(o)==# a most excellent guitar"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i'm totally satisfied, this is a good guitar, why would i complain, good feel too, comfortable and easy to play, not huge and bulky or squat and tiny, i like it, everyone should have one, maybe even two
Sound
doctor her up and she'll sing for ya
Features
once again, i replaced the tuners with some taylors and new strings, really helped
Quality
she's a brick house. this guitar is great for beating around the mountains strummin ditty's at campfires or hittin the road for a tour, the guitar holds up well.
Value
dollar for dollar, you won't find better, the sturdy instrument for a reasonable price is a dying breed
Manufacturer Support
i'll go with a 9 on support, i've never needed it and figure they're nice enough people
The Wow Factor
it's simple and gorgeous, no wistles or bells, just a beautiful guitar, the way it should be, i put some gold taylor tuners that have dark black ebony buttons and it really is great lookin

"Great guitar for under $300"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Considering what you pay for it, it is an awesome value and a quality product.
Sound
For the price it really sounds good. When people hear it on my recordings, they think it is a much more expensive guitar than it is.
Features
There are no classy/exotic materials here, but it works.
Quality
Has held up to some VERY heavy abuse (ie-once tried breaking it when I got mad at something else. I broke a rib inside the guitar, but it actually didn't seem to affect it!)
Value
I think you'd have to spend at least double the money to find any better guitar.
Manufacturer Support
Don't know. Never had to get support for it.
The Wow Factor
It's nice, but it ain't fancy. The black finish is very cool. I do miss having some more 'bling' on it, but for the price, I can't complain.

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
2-3 years. next will probably be one of Fenders acoustic/electrics.
Sound
Really nice sound. Great for steely blues and Texas music. Sound is a little harsh for 70's folk and the like. Very clean steely sound really.
Features
great. Original strings were a little stiff, but in general great composition.
Quality
No loose parts or blemishes. Holds a tune pretty good. No problems thusfar
Value
Unbeleivable value buy!!!
The Wow Factor
Very classic looking black acoustic. Kind of a "man in black" thing going on.

Musical Style:

Texas music, blues, 70's folk, some alternative
