"Nostalgic, not your average bluetooth speaker"

I really agonized over choosing a bluetooth speaker. I've owned various branded, typical $20+ Amazon rectangular, portable speakers. I wanted something better this time around. It ended up between this little Fender and a Bose model. If i was 100% honest, the Bose sounded a little better but in the end I simply couldn't pass up the nostalgic, vintage-looking Fender Newport. I dont regret my decision at all. What sets it apart from run of the mill speakers is the clarity...a fairly neutral sound but very clear with adequate bass. Like a good set of large floor speakers, you can hear more of the background instruments and voices that you dont when listening through crap speakers. I have this in an 88 sq ft room and need no other speakers in the room. I play it through my Amazon Music app on my smartphone (Galaxy Note 5).If i had to come up with a "complaint" it would be that i wish it had a smidge more volume. But honestly, I just moved out of a home that had amazing large floor speakers with a vintage Marantz receiver. My expectations are clearly too high for a small portable speaker if that's what im comparing it to LOL. With that in mind, i have zero regrets. I love my little sonic blue speaker. It has some heft to it which makes it feel like a quality product. Unlike some who complain about it, i love the sound it makes when you turn it on or when it pairs to a device. But, Im a guitar player sooooo...I just love everything about it. Enough to where im thinking of forking out the $350 for the larger version as well. Downside for some...this speaker is mono, not stereo. It was a non-issue for me because tiny speakers have a hard time separating stereo sound anyway. I dont even miss it with this speaker, it just sounds good. The power switch is fun and I love the blue light. The witch hat knobs make me happy. It's so much nicer to look at than your average black rectangle. Absolutely worth the price, at least for me.
