"Fender Toronado is like a Les Paul...but punkier!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
it will be a long time before i let this one go...I chose it because it sounds as great as it looks....and everyone here in this city of Austin has a Stratocaster or a Les Paul strapped on their back...you cant even find this guitar on Ebay on most days...
Sound
As the last person was having problems setting the guitar up you must realize this has medium JUMBO frets...medium size lengt/jumbo height...made for some serious power-chord usage...I bet it would also make a great slide guitar with the action a bit higher(as it is supposed to be on this particular guitar)
Ease of Use
how can it go wrong with 2 blazing "Made in USA'-Seymour Duncan pickups 2 tone and 2 volume just like a Gibson Les Paul
Quality
solid , screaming, great for shredding leads...looks COOLtoo
Value
I think this Guitar will only go up in value, being it is discontinued...and it was worth every penny I payed for it. I think it is already a collector's item in my opinion.
Manufacturer Support
I had no issues with the guitar, but trying to find out about it thru Fender's site was a futile move...being as the guitar is no longer manufactured to the best of my knowlege
The Wow Factor
actually, it is an 11!...from the way the guitar is cut in the back to the obvious RACING STRIPE...plus the sound is like electric dynamite!

"a sexy beast"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I am thinking about buying the all collection if I can find them.
Sound
I love it. I used it with my full stack, in studio with the pod Xtlive and the johnson amp. The sound is always powerful. I use it both for rythm and lead, when the music requires a big sound. Sounds great too for arpeggios with a crunch sound.
Features
Simple and reliable. I use a bunch of guitars on stage and having a guitar as simple as that one is a blessing.
Ease of Use
our Jeff Buckley meeting Queen of the Stonage music is based on (is it really necessary?) complex chords. This guitar is easy on the fingers both for chords and solo.
Quality
it needed a total tune up (add about $80 bucks to the retail price) when I bought it. Since then, it is stable.
Value
My cheapest guitar by far. I don't remember I paid for it. Just remember it was cheap for one of the guitars I use the most.
Manufacturer Support
Dunno. Never had to call Fender.
The Wow Factor
When I 'm onstage with it. I got (well, the guitar, not me) got a lot of attention. the fun thing is that the guys at Guitar Center told me that that guitar was on demo for weeks and nobody never tried it because of the color. I got the green one. Not sure everybody is ready for that design.

"a good guitar"

Other than what I mentioned above this guitar is great for the price. I would recommend this guitar to anyone.
Sound
I never really considered getting a Fender until I played this guitar. I play mostly metal and Fender guitars never really had the metal sound I was looking for. One day I just decided to try out the Tornado and I was very impressed. The humbucker pickups give it the sound I was looking for in a guitar and the sustain is awesome. I would definately recommend this guitar sound wise.
Features
everything is right where it should be. no complaints.
Ease of Use
It is very easy to play. I move throughout the fretboard with out a problem.
Quality
The only thing that bothered me was that the strings are setup a little too high and when I tried to lower the bridge to my liking the strings would rattle against the fretboard. I'm not sure if that is just a defect in my particular guitar or if that's how they are made. that's probably the only thing I would change on the entire guitar.
Value
Yes I think it was a reasonable price.
Manufacturer Support
I didn't have to contact the company
The Wow Factor
I love the look of it. That is what originally drew me to it. It stood out from the rest of the guitars around it. The green is such a rare color in a guitar and it just so happens, that's the color I was looking for.

"Tornado Gt"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars

I owned this guitar for many years and finally gave it up. Its not meant for long standing stints. Its heavy and bulky, great studio quality. The Pickups are crisp and fresh without losing precious tone.

Musical Style:

Rock and metal
