I'll start with the neck:Mine is quarter-sawn with perfect vertical grain running the entire length. The satin V shape is a revelation. I've never owned a v neck but I instantly understand the appeal. The rosewood fretboard looks well conditioned. It's nicely streaked. It has the appearance of being a pretty thick slab. The fretwork is smooth and comfortable. Almost everything about the guitar is great. I'm not sure if push/pull pots are always so loose to turn, but next to the obviously high quality and well tensioned feel of the volume pot, it's strange. I'm sure it's the same quality, just feels so different. That's the only thing that resembles a complaint, and it's not even a negative, just an observation. It sounds just like what I've been missing all these years without a Tele. I was considering buying some pickups but after hearing these in person, I don't think I need to spend that money. The bridge pickup has staggered pole pieces. In videos, the JVM 50's tele appears to have flat pole pieces. So take that into consideration. The staggered is more my sound.

This guitar is an excellent deal. The build is amazing and suuuper quality. Tones are fantastic. The neck just feels right. I can’t imagine paying hundreds more for an American as I feel this guitar is perfect and of a more limited make. Will be purchasing the JV Strat as well after only having this for a few hours..having said that this Tele could more than cover anything I’ll ever want to play.. jazzy, bluesy, classic country-ish, rock n roll. It sparkles tonally and visually.
