I usually only read reviews and never write them. That said, this amp needs a review! I was a little hesitant getting this amp. I knew I wanted a deluxe. I came off a Hot Rod DeVille 410 when my wife and I decided to start attending a different church. The new church does not have an amp room, so I had to go back on my quest for tone, and ultimately sold my 410 loaded with ragin Cajuns. Went through about a half a dozen low wattage amps, performed many speaker swaps, and never could get the sound I wanted. I like a clean amp that is perfectly capable of getting dirty when asked (I did this on the clean channel and pedals before). I knew I liked the cannabis Rex, as I’ve had a few. I was torn between the drri and the custom deluxe though. I was trying to figure out how I wanted to make my investment where I could end the search. This amp had it. The setup is almost remnant of my dad’s 72 Twin Reverb with the JBL D120Fs in it. The sound between the two is actually very close. The folks at Zzounds were phenomenal to work with, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I would recommend this amp to anyone who plays, and I can say that about anyone who has plugged into mine. Definitely turns heads. I love the tweed on it too.

My reviews tend to be unique, as this amp was purchased mainly for pedal steel, although I play guitar and electric mandolin. After spending a year with various amp and effects combinations for pedal steel, I finally reached the conclusion I knew I would all along. I went through a Bugera T5 with a Fender cab, then bought a Katana 50W which got me closer to home. After playing a Twin Reverb for 30+ years I can say without hesitation that there is no substitute for pushing tubes and a Fender spring reverb tank. Granted, this Deluxe doesn't have the headroom of a Twin, but at moderate volumes is just as clean, and the reverb is pure pedal steel bliss. Thankfully, the prior review suggested this amp reminded him of a vintage Twin. I spent the day with a Telecaster, Strat, and pedal steel, and feel confident this amp will go where I want it to. Tomorrow, I'll work with some pedals just to build on what's already there, but have a feeling everything will be set low, just for color.

I have Marshall plexi, vox, peavey, Gibson skylark , positive grid , orange. And this is my go TOO. NUFF SAID ! good amp. Easy to dial in for a sparkley clean or a gooood dirt get down. Just get down already
