I remember playing one of these many years ago and I always opted not to buy one because back then, Fender was making their reissues out of particle board instead of ply. When Fender corrected their errant ways by making their cabinets for these "professional" grade instruments properly, I had to have one. I had to wait a while because I began playing Mesa Boogies fifteen years ago because of the poor build quality of the Fenders then. The time came when I needed a main gigging amp, due to my rhythm guitarist taking a liking to my rig. I decided to move my no longer in production Mesas to the back up line and I finally purchased this amp. It is one of the most responsive and versatile amplifiers I have ever played through. I don't think that this model gets enough credit. I can get every sound I need from clean jazz to crunchy rock. I absolutely love it! I can say that it has been well worth the wait to get one and this tone machine is not going anywhere. I will gig it until it falls apart, if that ever happens.

I was pleasantly surprised with this amp. It sounds very close to a 63" or 64" Fender Vibrolux and i could not be more pleased with it. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who needs a great sounding amp for the practice room, studio or small to maodertate gigs.

"Deluxe vrs Vibrolux vrs Vibroking"

These three amps are all old school fender "breakup" amps (the twin just won't break up so you use a pedal to give it breakup). They are old school so you crank the volume then use your guitar volume control and pick attack (well a little drive pedal doesn't hurt..) to add break up. They all have a bassman clean circuit so you can play loud and clean. They all have reverb with a large spring. Of course classic tone vibe is the same on the 3x10 and 2x10 vibes. The wattage goes up from the 20's 30's to 50's on the high end. Of course so does the weight and size. There are many other fenders obviously like the supersonic that add modern features like gain and effects loops but classic is classic and these guys are the heart of so many guitar classics in so many genres that when you get warmed up and figure them out you sometimes find your channelling the player you always wanted to be (unless maybe metal is your thing). So how do you decide? Go play them! No other way.. Or just ask yourself am I going to haul this thing around much? (Be careful of the VK). Do I mainly want clean? (Twin?) Studio not gigs? (Not VK) Pedal driver? (Any one with the clean channel as you effects loop) The price on a return or used or scratch and dent is always about the same with only a few hundred dollars separating then, so buy the one you sound the best with! They also resale with little or no loss of value if you buy them this way!) Speakers? Jenson vrs Celestion is about the breakup vrs clean point mostly to my ear. Want earlier break up put in green or blue backs or buy the modern versions like this one.) For what it's worth (and not much because it's your ear!) my favorite for weight power break up and plain utility is this one.

"Fender Amps for Accordions"

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I had a Fender (what is now known as the) Classic; w/10" speaker. The versatility of the amp was great. BUT when I hooked my little 20lb accordion to it the bass was able to bounce the amp all over the floor. I found the speaker too weak for the driving bass on the accordion. I would recommend a 15" Heavy Duty speaker. I am not familiar with having 2 10" speakers but I know 15" HD works really well, especially having a driving bass for live music. This is why I switched to a Gemini VI. It might be good for other instruments, but I wouldn't recommend it for accordions.

Musical Background:

I've been playing music since I was 8yo. I will be 64 shortly. I use to play about 16 different instruments until I had a stroke

Musical Style:
