Came from zZounds super quick with a payment plan, very nice. The bass itself came perfectly setup ready to play out of the case. The controls are simple on a jazz bass but they are trustworthy. The neck is fast and the narrow tall frets really fret the strings well. I got the sonic gray version. It looks Gray to me with a blue undertone but definitely not baby blue.I play a lot of different styles and this bass is versatile enough for all of them.

I got the sonic grey 5 string. I couldn’t be happier with it. Out of the case it plays and sounds pretty freaking awesome. The sonic grey finish is a great color but truthfully it’s a lot closer to a baby blue than the pictures depict. The white pickguard, maple neck and sonic grey (baby blue) combo are really classy looking but I swapped my pickguard for a black one and it really did it for me. The bass is really versatile and will sound good regardless of style. I like to noodle around with jazzy stuff but I mostly play stuff like kublai khan, xibalba and acacia strain tuned to drop G. The bass holds the crazy low tuning perfectly. I run the bass through a darkglass alpha omicron into an sd1 then into my svt4 pro and 810. It sounds massive. It has such a nice clear and punchy sound that cuts perfectly. I’m thankfully with zZounds having their payment plan so I can afford this awesome bass. I’ve played squire and MIM Jazz basses and they all play really well but this one just feels like a step above (as it should). I love the way the elite looks but prefer the more classic and simplistic features the professional offers. Plug in, turn up and jam! I can 99.9% promise you that you’ll not be disappointed with this bass.
