This is my first P bass (previously playing active basses, and jazz basses). This is an awesome bass. Perfect fit & finish, Great feeling satin neck , and the sonic red finish sharp, almost orange-like I’m certain lights. I put a black pickguard on mine. The alnico p-pickup tone is awesome. I brought it to jam practice , (in the style of blues/jazz/funk) and everyone loved how it sat in the mix. I think I’m officially a P - bass convert!

Fit and Finish is awesome. Sound is plenty good. Love the looks and playability. I got the black player series. Mine come in set up right out of the box -- Perfectly. I love the easy pay and super quick ship. Also the customer service is second to none! If you are thinking about it,I highly recommend this basst, it is light, easy to play and sounds great too!

My first bass when I was 14 was a polar white Fender Standard Precision Bass. I ended up selling it and tried several other basses over the years (Jazz Basses, thunderbirds, Ibanez, even a vintage Kramer while performing doom metal and stoner rock). Now that I’m 37 and still playing, I came across this polar white Fender player precision bass on zZounds. It looked like a good deal and it made me remember my original bass so I bought one for fun. I just unboxed it and jammed on it for two hours and all I can say is wow. Fender had it set up quite well out of the box and the A, D, and G strings were still in perfect tune. The alnico pickups sounds amazing compared to the typical standard P bass pickups I’ve tried before. The neck feels great and it’s super smooth. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about the Pau Ferro since my original was rosewood, but I love it so far. Great tone out of the box and sounds killer through my Orange OB1 amp. Every bass player needs a P bass in their toolbox, and this one is perfect without having to spend 2 grand on an American signature model. Well done, Fender!

This bass is awesome. Only had to make small adjustments to the action and it plays great. The polar white looks great. I swapped out the pickgaurd to a black one. It looks amazing. I like rosewood fretboards and wasn’t expecting to like the pau ferro as much as I do. It looks and feels great. The pickups sound really good.
