I am very pleased with my vintera II telecaster from zZounds. My favorite guitar has always been my fender stratocaster, and the telecaster deluxe is the perfect alternative to the traditional feel and sound of fender single coils. I didn't expect to like the vintage neck shape as much as I do but it is the perfect compliment to my modern "C". Setting the string height is the only set up I needed to make as I always do with a new guitar. The wide range tones are also in the zone for the music I write, sing and play. Add a tremelo to a telecaster and I'm happy! I look forward to playing this guitar for many years. Thanks to zZounds for their customer service and response to a musicians needs.

The first thing I noticed when unboxing this was a chip out of the paint, then a place on the back where had been hit with touchup paint ,neck was crooked in the neck pocket .the frets were both misrepresented by zZounds and by Fender as are same ones from Vintera 1 series and was disappointed, kinda let down. After tuning it up I started noticing it plays better than I expected, better than some of my USA Fenders. Then I plugged it in,had some electronic issues. zZounds worked with me on it and since noticed a imperfection with the nitro cellulose on the neck and noticed what a sloppy job was done on tremelo cavity route.I have fixed most these concerns and it plays fantastic and for the price would highly recommend it.The neck was straight, setup decent, just some QC issues that appears they got in a hurry and chose quanity over quality
