Through the years I've owned about every name brand guitar, High end and mid priced guitars. This guitar from headstock to tail is a no brainer for the price, sounds and ease of playing. The Texas special pups with the S-1 switch active pickup system and you have about any sound you desire. The neck is awesome as is the finish. It's a 10. A lot of good musical instrument stores to choose from these days. In my opinion zzounds is my choice. Wonderful folks to do business with.

I always wanted to learn Blues & Jazz Guitar, my new years resolution was to buy 1, well to make the story short,I have bought 7 since,including an American Deluxe with the noiseless pick ups in sienna burst finish beautiful, but I must say the roadhouse strat feels just as nice and sounds sweet as well for hundreds less! contacted zZOUNDS and in a couple days there at my doorstep was the Fender Roadhouse Strat Vintage White ,beautiful!!! out the box set up not bad but of course had to have one done and now its 1 of my favored of the lo. ,can't thank the folks at zZOUNDS enuff for their payment plans. plan on visiting them Oooo maybe a few more times after this purchase. great guitar pleasant folk to talk with, win win as far as I'm concerned. hope your experience turns out like mine!

Bought this last month as the price was right and I liked the features, ie., Texas Specials, rotary switch, even the fat headstock which I know alot of "purists" hate. I happen to love them.
This guitar is one of the best, most comfortable, easy to play, great sounding guitars I've ever played, and I've played a TON in my 30+ years of playing.
I've owned Jap Strats, other Mexi's, China Squier Classic Vibes, PRS's, Gibson LP's, Aria Pro's, BC Rich's, Kramers, Jackson's, Ibanez....the list goes on.
This guitar has become one of my instant classics.
Sound
The sound is amazing. The variations you get from the switching are wonderful. I can go from classic single-coil scream to shimmering metal in no time.
Features
The active switching is obviously a plus, although I find I don't use it TOO much, just enough. It's REALLY useful for giving a little 'kick' for a lead phrase. Kinda boosts the volume a tad bit also which is great. The Texas Specials are just the bomb. Never had them in any other strat I played, so this was my first encounter. They are amazing.
Ease of Use
This guitar is fairly easy to dial in a sound you want/need. I play everything from neoclassical to jazz to Heavy Anthrax type metal. I can play it on this. Of course it wouldnt be my FIRST choice for the metal, but it does do the job.
I play through a Heavily modded Jet City JCA22H Head, into a custom cab with vintage 30's. I also play direct into the PC via an m-audio interface, into cubase running various Amp Sims. They ALL respond great to this strat.
Quality
I think the guitar was made pretty well. My only gripes are the setup was atrocious out of the box. The action was extremely high, and the neck was bowed quite a bit. This guitar was shipped in one of the coldest Februarys on record for my part of the country, so what I did was keep it in the soft case for a day or 2 after receiving it, to let it slowly acclimate to the temp in my music room.
After a MINOR truss rod adjustment and minor setup with action, this thing blazes.
I DO wish it came with better string trees, but I will replace those with rollers soon enough. Other than that, the finish and workmanship was really good.
Value
I believe this product is WELL worth the price, especially with Pay As You Play from zZounds. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. In fact I might go for one in every color offered!

The Wow Factor
I can and do make good music without it, but I LOVE this guitar. It really has been my go to axe since I bought it.
