"I love this guitar!"

I received this guitar within 24 hours of ordering and it is a thing of beauty. This came sealed from the factory in flawless condition with a good setup from fender. This thing sounds awesome as a true fender strat should! The finish is flawless and looks amazing! The only thing I worried about was the shipping carrier damaging the guitar during shipment. Luckily it came though the shipping unscathed. I live this guitar and can't wait to do business with zZounds again! Highly recommend.

I love every single thing about this guitar. I started playing not quite two years ago, and this is the second electric guitar that I have purchased (the first being a standard tele). For me, everything about this guitar - sound AND looks - is beautiful!

"Great value and good sound"

Overall I'm very impressed with this guitar. The sound is much better than I expected from a MiM guitar (though I plan on swapping the pickups out for CS 69s in the near future, comparing stock pickups to customer shops is unfair), and overall it plays excellently. There are a few spots where heavy bends cause the strings to die due to uneven frets, the stock hardware doesn't really allow you to block the bridge and keep the intonation/action without fret buzz (my preference with strats but not really necessary), the tone control for the bridge pickup essentially didn't do anything (swapped with CTS pots for $30 or so), and the setup it came with required a bit of tweaking. Ratings explained:Overall: 4.5 stars. This is a reflection of the quality of the instrument more than the value. It's not a USA made instrument and in a few places this shows. It's still significantly better than I expected when purchasing.Sound: 4 stars: Again, this is comparing to available upgrades. CS 69s and Fat 50s get 5/5 for a Strat, anything else will pale in comparison to me.Features: 3.5 stars: Nothing special, it's a modern strat, but man are modern strats amazing.Ease of Use: 5 stars: It plays exceedingly well. It plays about as well as most CS/USA made Strats I've played on, and probably plays better than an American Standard I owned 10 years ago. Quality: 4.5 stars: Again, it's a MIM strat. It's great, but it isn't perfect.Value: 5 stars: You're unlikely to find a better guitar for this price.Manufacturer support: 5 stars: This is a default, I've not had interaction with the manufacturer, but don't want to bring ratings down The Wow Factor: 4 stars: It's a beautiful instrument, plays extremely well and sounds very good. It doesn't do much to inspire me to play over any other strat I've owned, though, which is why it's not a 5.

This is my first non US made Stratocaster, and I am very happy. The 'plus top' is exceptional and the fit and finish on this guitar is noteworthy. It is a Standard Stratocaster so one would be compelled to argue its modest and unembellished status, but, make no mistake about it. This guitar plays and sounds exceptionally well. My particular model has a unique timbre and 'loudness' that I can only attribute to that gorgeous maple top. For the money I could not be more satisfied. This guitar will eventually replace my 70's era Stratocaster which I will soon retire.

The guitar itself is absolutely amazing. The factory setup, however, is a mess. Although on the Fender website they state it would be delivered with original bullet ended strings it came with very dull sounding ball ends. I replaced them first thing. Plus, it took me two hours to get the intonation right. Now afterwards, it is indeed awesome!

I am a beginner guitar player, but I can tell this is a quality guitar with beautiful finish! My teacher played it and said that this feels and plays like a true Fender Strat! Build quality is excellent and the set was great right out of the box.

upon first look...wow ! Finish was good. Fret ends felt ok overall. The nut slot spacing however, was off by 3/32 for the High E string...it was positioned nearly off the fret board...which brings me to the pickups the B and E strings were not aligned with the pole pieces of the Neck and Middle Pickups ...?...?...? Some would say, big deal...but I say Why should a new guitar need to be fixed. Turns out had several high frets. an annoying G and B string choke....Needs a new nut. UGH ! I have ZERO complaints about zzounds but several with Fender's QC.I know it is under a warranty but dealing with FENDER isn't worth the trouble. I will get it the way I like it but rather expected more from FENDER.
Sound
It sounds like a strat. The Standard pickups are just that...standard
Features
The PLUS TOP is Gorgeous !
Quality
Not really happy with the FRETWORK overall fit and finish was clearly in disregard for the issue with the NUT...I mean REALLY??
Manufacturer Support
Didn't Bother.
