So it has been a couple weeks since my HSH arrived. I am exceedingly pleased with the guitar. It is gorgeous, plays like butter, versatile, and a great addition to the sound arsenal. You need to check one out... you will not regret it.
Sound
The sound quality is surprising... Not really a fan of Fender Pickups, however, the stock humbucker pickups are surprisingly responsive, clear, and don't get muddy when driving the lead channel of my Marshall JCM TSL. The HSH is not a 1 trick pony. It has the versatility for just about any genre of music, playing style, and sound. in position 5, you have a nice full rhythm tonal quality, Position 3, is typical for the middle pickup, Position one is a decent lead a bit raw but not unpleasant, and it will cut through the mix.
Features
I would have to say, different pickups would be a real advantage. Pickups a tad bit hotter in, both, Bridge and Neck positions.
Ease of Use
Getting great sound is as easy as plugging into your amp and choose your pickup's settings, ie: position 1-5.
Quality
The HSH is well made and I do not anticipate any real maladies in the future.
Value
This is a solid guitar, well worth it's value and price
Manufacturer Support
I've not dealt with Fender, however, Zzounds is an awesome company with whom to deal and work.
The Wow Factor
The guitar's appeal is iconic. The Stratocaster has been around a very, very, long time... and pairing it with a Marshall full stack... you get the picture.

"It's better than a mim standard."

Feels better than the standard did. But the bad sanding job shows up really bad in the metallic paint. Beautiful from afar. Just don't look too closely. The tremolo is way better and the pickups are a warm super strat setup not bad for any mim or American. Neck finish is smooth and nice. The nut sucks even with the pencil hack. Strings still stick. Frets are kinda even, low e has a buzz I can't work out with adjustment. So I would say the price is fair.

This guitar is excellent for the price. Pick ups are hot and sound good, single coil is sweet. In those 2,3,4 positions u get those really "strat-like" tones. However, because of them basically tapping the humbuckers to do that properly, the level does drop a good bit going from 1st to 2nd or 5th to 4th positions. I will probably upgrade the bridge pickup as i am not in love with it, but the neck is really interesting. It is a strat-y humbucker if that makes sense.... lol. zZounds did great getting the guitar here fast. Less than 36 hours. It was set up ok.....However.... bridge wasnt quite level and I wanted heavier gauge strings. So... when I put those on it became a little more of a debacle. It took me a good day of messing with my set up options and the pick up heights(because of the out of phase tones) And it was still a touch and go thing with some adjustments here and there for a few days. Odd noises, buzzing and such. It was like it kept moving.Side note, the fret job is definitely not like an American strat, but it is good enough for me. I don't need perfection, I just needed to sound good and play good. That being said I will probably replace the tuners too with locking tuners. I ran some files in the nut, and that helped. Also put nut juice on it, and that helped a lot, but still, with heavy or sharp movements of the whammy bar, they will go out of tune a bit. Just a little. Overall I am happy with this purchase and glad that I got the two hum bucker instead of the HSS. It is very versatile and gives you the best of both worlds. Coupled with zZounds being awesome, no brainer for the price.
