Fender American Performer Jazzmaster Electric Guitar, Rosewood Fingerboard (with Gig Bag)
Fender tweaks the Jazzmaster just a bit for this American Performer model. A Strat-esque vintage-style tremolo replaces the traditional bridge and tailpiece.

I really like this guitar. I have a few Jazzmasters already so I actually welcome the differences on this one - Jazzmaster purists instead of whining about this one go and get a regular Jazzmaster..plenty of them out there. First of all, I love having a strat tremolo on a Jazzmaster...so much more control of your bends. The rosewood neck plays nice and I prefer the satin neck that this has over high gloss necks. The guitar sounds awesome - somewhere between a strat and a jazzmaster...closer to a Jazzmaster. It came set up well.On the flip side...i think a $1,200 guitar should come with a hard case and a bone nut...Squier classic vibes even have a bone nut (best value for a guitar out there but that is for a different review). Wish it had a rhythm circuit if only for using it as a killswitch. I would recommend this to anyone...especially if the price point came in at about $999.00.
