So I will tell you straight up, this guitar is quirky. There is a specific way you need to change the strings and set it up (that can be found on EVH website or just look for video on "EVH Striped Series 78 Eruption The Ed Setup" you will find it). It will also go out of tune at times, but to get it back in tune usually requires just a dive bomb. So understand, if you are looking for perfection , you may not be into this. If you are looking to get as close as you can to what Eddie played on VH1 and enjoy the look and feel of that guitar, you will be thrilled. I love it. I bought it for my 13 year old son who played a gig for School of Rock in Houston. The season they were doing was called "Guitar Gods" and they did both Eruption and "Your Really Got Me" and he absolutely melted some faces that night and most importantly had a great time doing it. The neck feels worn, the tone is very VH1 sounding...it is just a lot of fun. Again, if you are ok with some quirkiness and can appreciate the rock is not supposed to be perfect, you will love playing this guitar.
