Really pleased with the tones/feel this amp puts out. I'm playing blues, rock and hard rock. I don't play heavy modern and there are plenty of vids of it chugging.There was one clip I watched that showed it covering sonic ground that I liked. I bought it based on what I heard. My ears were not wrong. Dynamics of rolling off guitar volume/tone knobs is rewarding. Amp has a set of ballz. I've had an EVH 412 cab for years now. The Iconic sounds excellent through it.The Green OD channel is my fave.Only con I have is the noise gate. It has minimal gateing. Don't use reverb but it's ok.

A great sounding amp , I have the half stack and it’s a killer combo! The tones are more modern, find your tone, hone it in, let it rip! The green overdrive channel is great, the red channel with the burn feature is crazy good for lead playing, I’m very happy with my purchase

I was looking for amps and I thought I had chosen the 6505 and a gentleman called from a store that I had talked to about a couple different heads and he told me they got a brand new EVH Iconic in so I tried it and I was amazed at the tones , the clarity from this 80W mystery that did everything from Foreigner to Pantera without getting into the extra crunch [Burn] button and it adds a great tone of heavy to clean to your sound , I am very Glad that I changed my mind after spending 20 minutes with this amp just playing clean lightly distorted , heavy and Burn modes .. I think I will buy a second one after I replace a Transformer in an older amp ..
