15 watt mode sounds plenty loud with very little gain setup to get most tones I would like and 60 watt mode will get revenge on that loud drummer in a gig. Metal, Blues, everything in between it can be done with this amp. Very clean clean if you want it or good OD sound in one channel and good tight/dirty distortion in the other one. Very flexible amp. I really like it and if you don't like pedals then good, it doesn't really need any except maybe a WAH, chorus and delay. OD and dist boxes not needed here but you could if you are stubborn about it. I just got it recently so will see how the quality is long term as time goes on.
