Sound
With previous setups I just couldn't get the overtones and knocking out of the heads. After trying three different bass head configurations I finally hit it with this combo! Really didn't have to do much but get the waves out of the head for tuning and added a peddle patch that was it.
Features
I used the larger foam insert right of the bat and it gave me the exact tone I wanted. No pillows or anything needed.
Ease of Use
Popped the heads on. Tightened until the waves were out of the head and that was it.
Quality
Don't want to give a 10 as I just put them on last night at practice. Seems durable and other reviews have stated the same.
Value
Again only owned and played them last night. But really impressed. The sound I've been working on getting for over 6 months.

The Wow Factor
I'm not all into the sex appeal stuff I just wanted a true bass sound. I replaced the heads with identical color.

This should last like most bass drumheads.
Sound
This is a great batter/resonant head package. The extra foam ring allows you to custom muffle the batter head and the built in mic port is great for miking through the resonant head.
Features
The extra foam ring for the batter head is great. Also, it is designed so that you don't need to remove the head...pretty cool.
Ease of Use
If you play drums...you can change a drumhead.
Quality
I only gave this a low mark because the package had 2 batter heads. I'm guessing this was an error on Evans part, but Zzounds made it right. They sent me a resonant head and told me to keep the extra batter head.
Value
I think this was a good value for both heads.
The Wow Factor
The fact that you can change the foam ring without taking the head off is an excellent design.

Sure, you can load your bass drum with pillows and blankets but honestly with this product there really isn't a need. Just swap out your batter head and tune. You can change out the muffling with the rings included. This product produces a great thump.

Read everything i wrote. This package is definitely worth it.
Sound
Depending on the tuning you can either have it low or mid ranged. Has a nice thud to it. Great rebound on the bass pedal. Doesn't drown anything out.
Features
Two foam inserts. Easy to use. Can be swapped out very quickly.
Quality
High quality. Even the porthole looks like it wont rip. It looks like it wont start to tear around the hole.
Value
Worth it. All the way. Highly recommend it.

I love the deep punchy sound of my EMAD head system. The kick is now a joy to set up and mic for gigs and recordings. Definitely recommend the EMAD system.
