Just got this and just a minor truss rod adjustment and it sounds great plug it in and it gets even better! Had a sweet tone as good and even better than a lot of high dollar guitars I’ve played. Nothing bad at all that can be said about this guitar and kudos to zZounds it even arrived a day earlier than expected.

"Inspired Epiphone J-45"

Wow, very impressed with this guitar. Build quality, and full solid wood, with a really good sound. I am very skeptical about youtube reviews as most are done by retailers however, this met all expectations. I did have to sand the saddle down to get the action to spec, oiled the fret board and bridge which were really dry, other than that neck relief was good. I did buy the matching case which is decent quality again for the money. I will gig this for sure.

"Facts: this is a J-45"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

This guitar looks, plays and sounds beautiful. It sounds like a J-45 because it IS a J-45. Right out of the box, setup and sound is perfect (after I tuned it up and stretched the strings). Neck feels like home. I have a feeling this guitar will outlive me. The finish is warm and classy, not tacky like some of Epiphone's sunbursts. Another thing worth mentioning is that this guitar seems to smell like a Gibson. I've not yet had the pleasure of using the Fishman Sonicore system yet, though I'm rather grateful it came all setup with electronics. Solid wood guitars need humidifiers, and Epiphone includes one with it's Inspired by Gibson line. A nice bonus I didn't know about until I unboxed.
Sound
This guitar sounds more amazing with every day I own it. It sounds like a J45 because it is a J45. Even moreso than my old AJ500 Masterbilt (not with us anymore) though not as loud and piano like. Have not used the pickup yet but I know it's decent.
Features
Came with a humidifier/soundhole dampener, which was a pleasant surprised. Humidifier is a MUST with a solid wood acoustic like this.
Ease of Use
Getting the sound I want is effortless. The big complaint you hear about this guitar is the overly thick pickguard. It is a beastly pickguard, but I'm still impressed with the sound as is. I will end up changing it with a thinner Gibson pickguard eventually. So, apparently it's going to sound even better. That's exciting. I am very picky about my guitars and their action/setup. This one was perfect out of the box.
Quality
Feels like a tank. Very well built and not over-built. Also, she stays in tune very well. I am still using the strings that came on it. Usually I change strings right away, but these still sound and feel brand new. Also, the neck feels like home.
Value
Totally worth $750. Plus, at 60-sum bucks a month for a year...I feel like this is a super win.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to deal with customer service regarding this purchase yet, though have in the past. Gibson has always been very accommodating and helpful.
The Wow Factor
I love the way this guitar looks. And I love the way it looks on me. The satin burst finish is beautiful and warm. The classic j45 pickguard shape, the Kalamazoo headstock, the woodgrain, all of it is charming. I've heard some complaints, and I don't know. Maybe I just got a good one. Also the smell emitting form this guitar every time I open the case is that of a Gibson, and I know it's not a nitro finish, but it smells very Gibsony. This guitar is inspiring and I am looking forward to writing some songs with her.

"Not bad for the money"

It's a beautiful guitar if this important to you as it is for me. The pickup system is nice, sounds good plugged in. The best thing about it is the neck comfort for me. It plays really well, nut width is just right and neck thickness. It has a decent response on top E string, more mid range focused overall. The downside is it does not project very well. It does not have allot of volume. It's still a fun guitar to play but it took me awhile to get attached to it. I had to have a setup done to bring the action down. I hesitated getting this done after I bought it but once I did, it made a huge difference of course. It's not bad at all for the money and I can't say enough about the neck comfort. It's spot on!

I bought this guitar, but ended up returning it. It actually played well, the tone was great. I really did like the sound of this guitar, but I play in my living room mostly, or at a friend's house, without using an amp, and this is the quietest guitar I've ever owned. If you're plugging in, I guess this wouldn't be an issue, as it really does sound beautiful. But I own 6 other guitars, ranging from $200 up to $1,600, several brands...none are this soft spoken.

I loved this guitar for that last year. Been breaking it in and writing on it. Went to plug it in after a year. The pickup is dead on arrival. Too late to return. Will look elsewhere for my guitar for this project.
