I purchased this guitar for my son, I have been playing guitar for 25 years, mostly Rock/Metal genre with some others sprinkled in.This guitar out of the box was rather shocking how well it sounded/played for a $200 youth guitar. This being said, I have a problem so I took an EMG 81/85 set I had laying around and Graphtech resomax bridge with some Grover mini tuners and gave this little beast a set up and wow. She sound great, surprising sustain, stays in tune, and plays great, other than being a bit treble bias due to just being a thin very light guitar which was expected. If you are looking for an adult travel/mini guitar to play around with a mod, this is a great base.If this is for a child this is also a great start. Plays good right out of the box and sounds good stock. As they progress you could slowly upgrade this guitar to grow with them until they are ready for a full size.Great job Epiphone
