I ordered this guitar from zZounds just before Xmas and in two days I received it along with the ordered Epi SG case that fit the Wilshire perfectly. The guitar is top notch all the way. A more than worthy alternative to a Gibson or Fender. What's nice is that the scale length is a fraction shy of the Gibson's 24.75 length it's not much but it makes a welcome difference to me. The neck has a nice rounded shape similar to the rounded Gibson neck. The pickups are cutting without being to piercing. Engaging both pu's have a unique tone that's vaguely like the second out of phase setting on a strat. The frets are all level without any bury ends. The laurel fingerboard is smooth with nice coloring. The intonation was spot on out of the box. The wood grain and colored finish are impeccable. The only downside to it all is that it's top heavy. The head of the guitar is hard to keep up. Putting a strap button on the end of the upper horn is something I may look into. The thing is this, 60 years ago this guitar would have cost about half of what you'd pay today but you get this same guitar today that's built with twice the quality today compared to 1963.
