This is a great playing/sounding guitar. It looks fantastic and I can’t stop looking at it. I was very pleased with the feel and I love the Ebony fretboard. Feels and sounds as good as my Gibson’s. If you don’t have three grand to spend on a Gibson I highly recommend this guitar.

Musical Background:

Been playing on and off for 25 years. Played in a few band but am a basement jammer for the time being. I play guitar only.

Musical Style:

I play mostly 70’s and 80’s rock.

I've held off on writing a review because I wanted to play the guitar for at least a month before I reviewed it. When I received it was very happy to get it, only to find that it was very poorly set up from the Epiphone factory, I debated sending it back to zZounds to exchange for a different one, (the hardtail was low on one side, high on the other, also had uneven string height, fret buzzing, etc.). However, I was so happy to have it and did not want to deal with the hassle of returning so I had it set up by a local guitar shop. It returned playing like a dream, real low action, no tuning issues, properly intonated etc. It sounds great plugged up to an amp, sounds decently loud acoustically, and looks stunning in person. I have picked it up every day and its always in tune. Has nice cream binding, orange drop capacitors, slash alnico 2 pick ups, a very beautiful flame top, basically all the premium appointments you'd find on a more expensive usa made gibson. Very good value for what it offers considering the price of more expensive les pauls, and a good upgrade from the lower end epiphones. It does not however come with a gig bag or case, it goes come with strap locks which are nice, and it has a pretty chunky neck (could be good or bad depending on how you like your neck profile). All in all I am very happy with my purchase, looks great, plays great, sounds fantastic, the pictures online do not do the guitar justice, it really is stunning. Not sure what string guage it comes with, I changed them to 10's and they play great. Oh also forgot, the fret edges are really nicely rolled, theres only one that is barely not rolled as good, but all the other ones feel nice and smooth, no sharp edges. The service from zZounds was as described, the guitar arrived within a day, with no dents, again very happy with my guitar, hope this helps anyone looking at this specific model.

This guitar is absolutely amazing. Very well made. Absolutely gorgeous. Every detail beautifully made. Once I plugged it, it BLEW my socks away!!! Incredible sound. Very thick and aggressive tone. Harmonics play so easily without even trying. Very crispy distorsion. Beautiful thick clean as well. This is probably the best Epiphone ever made!!! It's a Les Paul. Sounds like a Led Paul. Don't need to spend 2 grands to sound like a pro. Neck feels great to play. The anaconda burst color looks so amazing in person. Way better than it does on a computer screen.

Musical Background:

I've played guitar for 34 years since I was 9. I played in a few bands in high school and college. Now I play at home.

Musical Style:

Rock and Blues.
