"The Epiphone that truly rivals it's older more expensive Gibson counter part."

Aside from the two complaints I have with this guitar it really is just a great musical instrument for first-time player or even for back up guitar for touring artist just a great guitar.
Sound
The Epifoam Les Paul with its 50s burst bucker pickups sounds just like the original Gibson version, with all of the sustain and the full-bodied sounds that we know and love from a Les Paul are truly represented in this guitar. Given a little bit of overdrive in this guitar you can get sounds that truly range from blues to rock 'n roll from artists like Jimmy Page and Slash.
Features
This guitar contains 50s original wiring with beautiful 500 K pots, with the standard Gibson tone and volume control for each pick up independently. This guitar also features a D shapedneck that is very thin and has a beautiful action to it, the body is solid mahogany that is not chambered which really is representivein the weight of this guitar it just feels like a less Paul should. The carved Mapletop on this guitar truly shines in heritage Cherry burst that gives it the extra treble that we know and love in the Gibson Les Paul family of guitars. Finally if I had one complaint about this guitar it would be the hardware that is included on it, seems like they could've had a little better quality in this department but still a great overall buy.
Ease of Use
With its slender neck and all nickel wound strings in nine gauge the epiphone Les Paul plays like a dream. The guitar can wail on command and can give you sustain for days. Even as it is branded as an Epiphone this guitar truly is the best Les Paul you can buy at this price point.
Quality
Aside from the complaint already listed above this guitar needed a proper set up, once set up it played amazing and really for $50 extra that was the cost of the set up I couldn't be more happier with the money that I spent on this guitar. Going with the Epiphone version of the Les Paul I was able to get the binding that is only available on higher end Gibson models which truly was an extra nice touch. Finally the brown hard case with the pink interior was just a great added gift that Epiphone included with this guitar, which truly sets it apart from its other offerings at cheaper price pionts.
Value
Even though I bought a blemished model, this guitar is truly worth more than what is being sold for if you can get your hands on the epiphone 50th anniversary model I would highly suggest it these are great guitars at a steal of a price. Epiphone has truly hit gold with this beautiful 1960 Gibson Les Paul standard really just an amazing guitar at a great price point go get one.
Manufacturer Support
Behind this guitar is seriously one of the best warrantes of any guitar manufacturer it's limited lifetime warrenty is truly a stand out in the music industry and from my experience epiphone has been very easy to get in touch with.
The Wow Factor
With it's limited run of 1960 guitars this guitar is truly a one-of-a-kind, if you can find one I would highly recommend buying it without a second thought.

4 Payments~ 4 Payments~ 4 Payments~ I will keep buying form zZounds! Prices are competitive and ...did I mention the 4 Payment option.
Sound
Sound just like a $2500 Les Paul. It plays like a $600 guitar, however. With some TLC and a trip to a true guitar shop, it's now plays awesome. Replace w/ bone nut, Graphite, Grover Tuners and some adjustments to the action...it plays like a high-end Les Paul. The upgrades and service ran close to $250. Still a $1500 savings from what I was considering. Never been a Les Paul fan until now.
Features
I was disappointed at first with the playability. I knew this was a possibility but I was crossing my fingers to get a guitar ready to rip, right out of the box. The finish is beautiful. It was a blemish but I can not find anything major. Just minor scratches.
Ease of Use
Again, sounds like a Les Paul. Beafy and Big Sound.
Quality
I play every weekend in a local band...It's holding up fine. I bring two guitars out every time I play but that is a habit I developed from playing guitars with a floating bridge...(the 80's,floyd rose era). The string changes are not quick on those set ups so it was a back-up plan. But I will usually play one guitar all night and this is holding up fine.
Value
4 payments...That is awesome~ Can't beat that! My wife doesn't even know!!

The Wow Factor
Looks killer - other that 'gibson' missing from the head stock, people identify with the Les Paul shape and sound.

"Great Playing Guitar with Gibson Electronics"

I bought this this used but in flawless condition and I have to say it was an absolute great purchase. The USA burstbuckers sound incredible and the finish is gorgeous. I have the tobacco burst and it is stunning. I have owned Gibson Les Pauls and Epiphones. This one is much closer to a Gibson that anything I've seen. The fit, finish and playability are certainly on par with any Gibson Studio and not far off of the Standard. I love this one and will not be selling it. Most of the Gibson purists look down on these instruments but the goal is to have an instrument that sounds and plays great. This is that instrument. Great job Epiphone!!!

"Excellent Les Paul guitar with modern production improvements"
I bought this to supplement my '58 Gibson VOS, which has the chunky neck. I was not disappointed and will keep it for a very long time.
Sound
This guitar is excellent, particularly for a working musician. The only minor problem that I had was that there was a little bit of polishing compound on the fret board. Otherwise, it played right out of the box.
The Burstbuckers are excellent pickups. It sounds just like my 58 VOS Gibson Les Paul Standard.
Features
I love the case, and it was packed with accessories. The bridge and tailpiece are improvements over the VOS standard. You can take off the strings without dropping them. The neck is slim and fast. The finish is superb, and the polyurethane protects the finish better than nitrocellulose. If there's a tonal difference, I can't detect it.
Ease of Use
I found it easy to coach great Les Paul tones from this guitar. The action is typical for a Gibson product. I like this guitar much better than the Elitist Les Paul that I purchased, which has a two piece mahogany body. This guitar was built upon a single slab. This is a great bargin.

as long as everything maintains i have no doubt about this guitar...I mean why would something happen it has a case???
Sound
The sound is totally amazing and to die for. Im talking gibson quality tone for 1700 less. The burstbucker pickups are very hot pickups especially the bridge, the neck pickup is has a really fat smooth sound. These pickups combined with a full mahogany body and neck lets the vibrations scream, and makes for great sustain.
Features
We all know that the 2 volume and 2 tone pots combined with a 3 way selector switch in the les pauls can be very diverse to say in the least. The tuners are not so much to look at or brag about though, they were just going for that 60 model look. Coil taps would be nice though. I aquired the heritage darkburst and the finish was amazing = flawless.
Ease of Use
It sounds great...but what good is a high quality guitar with a pos amp?
The setup on it was actually better than i thought it would be. the truss rod didnt need ajusting and the intonation was almost exact so i cant complain there.
Quality
When the guitar arrived and i took it out of the case the neck pickup screw had come out and the pickup was just wobbling in there it may have been due to the shipping though. The pot knobs and not perfectly flush and round and there was a little spot on the binding around the fret board that looked a lil ruff just 2 frets near the body like the 12th or 14th. Any ways it was still a good deal but they need to pay more attention to fine detail.
Value
For the sound and the looks its at an amazing price i mean come on ....a les paul buit to spec with gibson pickups and under 1000 dollars is a deal anywhere...Plus the case...Plus there are only 1960 in the world....and there are 3 diffrent versions you do the math there arnt that many of each version.
Manufacturer Support
I havnt had to deal with then and hope that i dont. It doesnt need any upgrades lol.

"Really nice job Epiphone!"

Sound
For the price its the best Les Paul around. Burstbuckers bring this guitar up to the level of a Gibson. The slim 1960's neck is fast. The guitar is simple and does what it is supposed to do, spot on intonation. Only other guitars in this class are the ESP 401 series but these Epiphone guitars are quite nice. Like I said simple and effective, the hard case is also nice. Flawless finish. Not a large or heavy Les Paul like the Gibson or ESP but still perfectly sized. Top notch electronics. It's made in China and that kept the cost down but if this was made in the USA it would sell for twice as much. A real bargain.
