This is a beautifully made guitar. I choose Epiphone because they put the perfect product for price point. This is made in China and is as well made as a Gibson Dc.
Sound
Sound is compressed like a cat meow. Definitely my kind of thing. The pickups are pretty versatile. They can sound Epiphone dirty and then give you a S type sound. Gain the pickups scream for days.
Features
The machine tuners are Grover the neck is second to none as far as playability. I did have to release some tension in the neck lower the bridge and now plays all my favorite songs.

First off, I'm a heavy metal guy who wanted a shred able guitar with the classic and vintage aesthetics. Let me say straight forward, this is not a budget guitar. And I've been playing guitar for 15 years.Every batch is like a drawing, they vary by guitar as no two guitars are 100 percent identical, down to the craftmanship. I got a great example of what it should be from zZounds in the emerald green color on the play as you pay plan. This is definitely the guitar that would make a special model by Epiphone in terms of the contrast between the typical les paul and sg guitars. It appears to have brass frets, I'm not exactly sure, but they have a gold hue. Not a single sharp edge sticks out from the frets. The playing is very sensitive and requires adjusting to if you've been playing on cheap guitars. To many 660$ taxes included is considered a budget guitar, and to many it is not. Definitely not to me. Has full sized pots, not the cheap alpha pots. The 2020 - 2022 models have an new improved bone nut versus the original "Nu Bone". it has 3 push pulls, and a 3 way toggle switch, this is a prefect guitar to record with and nail the tone you need in a mix, or to layer guitars. Pickups are based on the early Gibson burst buckers. Well, I shall say they are burst buckers, just manufactured over seas instead of the USA. A total of 15 tone combinations can be achieved with this guitar alone. While it also comes with a limited lifetime warranty through Gibson, yes you read that correctly. The cut away is a little shallow if you got large hands, but the playability and beauty will easily forgive that. Its a good value for your money. Grab one, because they may be pulling this away soon, since it is an older model 2017 ish. This is my second Epiphone, after buying my Traditional Pro IV in Worn Classic Blue Burst, I was hungry for more.

Bought it on a whim. Came from zZounds in under 24 hours! It is a VERY good guitar! I like the look. I like the feel of the neck. I like the sound of the pickups just fine. I wanted a double cut that had these features. The coil taps sound great (not the case with my Duncan Pearly Gates set on my Fender Showmaster the Epiphone sounds better split coiled). The action was too low and the truss needed to be loosened very slightly. The fret polish could be a tad better but for the price it's acceptable. Guitar is very well balanced and feels great in my hands. I played the snot out of it for about an hour through my Marshall SV-20 (also purchased from zZounds!) Into a Two Notes CaptorX (yep... From zZounds) with one of the Wall Of Sound Ir's so I could crank the amp up full. Guitar definately has the PAF tone and feeld GREAT.

I Bought the Midnight Ebony and WOW perfect guitar. After a small neck adjust and string up sounds and play great. You will not be disappointed. A few small thing. How does QC ship a guitar with out strings? (Seriously did not have string on the guitar.) Lower fret access might be a issue for bigger hands. Pickups are good not great.
