The main selling point on this guitar for me is the all solid wood construction. All the less expensive guitars seem to be laminate wood. This is just a good basic guitar. It's all I need and I am very pleased with the purchase. Built well and sounds pretty good. zZounds is the BEST!!!

I've had this guitar for about a year now so I feel like I can make a reasonable assessment of it. Unfortunately it’s no longer available so this review probably won’t matter except to someone who’s researching one of these on the second-hand market. Let me start off by saying this guitar gets five stars for value. I would be confident putting it up against models costing twice as much. It’s solid wood construction so I’m hoping it will age well and possibly be something I can hand down to the next generation of guitar players in my family. When I first unboxed it the setup was good. The intonation was spot on although the action was a tad high for me (but we’ll chalk that up to me being primarily an electric player). Unfortunately I found the sound to be lackluster initial. In fact I nearly sent it back, but decided to keep it knowing that acoustics can “mature into” their sound and I’m glad I did. Over the past 10 or so months the sound of this guitar has opened up noticeably and I’m confident that in time it will be a sweet sounding instrument.

I've been playing guitar for over 40 years and I have owned more guitars than I can remember. From American made Martins and Ovations to vintage Epiphones, Older Yamahas and Alverezes. For the money this is the best guitar I have ever owned. The actions is nice and low making it a dream to play, The intonation is spot on, the lows are smooth as butter, the highs aren't too bright and a perfect midrange to boot. It is so well balanced. This guitar easily out performs guitars 2 or 3 times the price. Without any exaggeration I am absolutely elated with this product. I can't thank my wife enough for buying this for me.!

After purchasing 2 of these guitars I found one to sound really good but was warped behind the bridge slightly. The second was not warped as bad but the sound quality was nowhere near the first. This tells me that there may be some issues with quality control in this particular model.Overall this guitar is probably worth trying out if you don't get stuck paying return shipping. If you get a good one well it's extremely good for what it cost.So really the choice is up to you oh, you may get a really good guitar for possibly and okay guitar that could have warped issues.

The Epiphone DR-400 is the BEST DEAL.. I prefer OOO or OM, but at $400, this guitar is awesome. ALL SOLUD WOODS and an olderE-Sonic pre. The DR500 has a dual system, nicer top.... but it fails and NO ONE FIXES IT, they replace it with cheap clones... THROW AWAY, or buy A NEW and have it installed. This is cheaper, sound awesome. After setup, it stays in tune. Too bad they use CEDAR for top on Rosewood model, which is concert size. Or I would own it too, instead of Ibanez AE500.
