Okay, so let's keep this part short because I think you all know what to expect. It's an Explorer, of the Epiphone variety. It plays the part, sounds good, decent weight without being heavy and has all the staples you expect. If you want to know about the physical guitar and what it's like, just go look up any other explorer review because their current line has all the same stuff. Mine happened to come blemish free and with no electrical issues so, fantastic for that. Now, for what most people wanted to know. This is an exclusive color, so it's not like there were other physical versions of this out there to compare it to readily available. I am a big stickler for how the finish and paint look and I got to tell you, the pictures don't do it justice.I was concerned because the pictures provided gave it a dull, almost grey toned blue that somehow overshadowed the sparkles that are marketed toward us. I was between this and the purple which admittedly had better looking pictures, but I love blue so I opted to give it a chance. It looks three times better in person, shimmers top to bottom and the color doesn't look nearly as lifeless as I first feared it might be.As a guitar, it's great. Sounds great. Plays great. You already knew that unless it was defective you were getting that much. But the style is unmatched and if this looks this good, I imagine the other sparkle finishes also look amazing as well.If you were on the fence about an explorer, like me, who loved the design of the guitar but just can't get behind plain black or red you can feel confident knowing that these finish options surpass expectations.Just would have been nice to get some locking tuners.

First one frets were so bad and literally broken on the ends and all uneven. Next one I got the neck was cracked and broken…. I’m not the only one that is having this problem with this run of explorers. Check you tube comments people have run through 3 returns with same problem
