For anyone who likes that junior vibe . . THIS IS IT ! I'm sure the only difference between the tobacco and this is the finish . . . my preference required me to shim the pick up with .100 fralin shim . . very well crafted , zero complaints . .CRANK UP THE AMP AND ROCK KINDA DEAL . . plus a red light district case to sit this bad a@@ guitar

This guitar is everything it claims and then some. The single p90 with a master tone and volume and no other frills make it a joy to play. The simplicity kind of makes it a complex instrument, with so many tones it's hard to believe. From fender tweed super clean to melt your face off distortion, this guitar can handle it all. About the only thing needed for the heaviest of the heavy tones is a noise gate. If you've been considering a single p90 junior give this a try. You won't be disappointed. Mine, out of the box, needed nothing but a fretboard conditioning and a fret polish. But I do that on every guitar I buy, even custom shops.

Musical Background:

I've played on and off for almost 30 years. I'm no pro but I know what plays and sounds good.

Musical Style:

Varied. A little bit of most genres.

"Worth It. Get one while you can."

First time purchase from zZounds and it was super easy. Quick shipping, well packaged, and came practically setup out of the box. One little tweak to get the intonation set and I was off to the races. The Guitar: I am pleasantly surprised by this thing. I had a 2019 Gibson LP Junior and this compares really well to that. The neck is beefy, however, it is more of a D shape rather than a C shape like the Gibson. Fit and finish is great on this thing too as it is very clean. The hardware is very good and holds tune well. I may swap the bridge for something else. The Pots work great. The pickup is....OK. It gets the P-90 job done, but I prefer the Gibson P90's and I'm sure there are other rad replacements. The hardshell case is beautiful! The only thing that knocks the rating down some is that it doesn't really feel like a hunk of wood. It's not a bad feeling, but it definitely feels a bit....cheaper. That may be due to the poly finish. Overall, this the closest thing you're going to get the real deal without busting the bank AND it comes with a rad hardshell case! Get one while you still can even if you're not a Green Day fan or if you're venturing into the P90/Single pickup realm. It reminds me of the old days when the original Gibson's LP Juniors went for like $400.
