Overall i give it a 7.5. its a good guitar for its price range. You cant really compare this to a 3 grand taylor but you can compare to almost any other mid priced guitar.
Sound
i have to give it to epiphone. for 400$ the sound is just beautiful.
Features
i had to install a second strap lock around the bout. It only has 1 tone knob
Quality
Even though it is made in the orient. This is a fine crafted guitar.
Value
This is a guitar that is well worth the money. Its great for everyone that has weekly gigs and performances. Its also recomendable for recording.
Manufacturer Support
Gibson/Epiphone customer service company dont kno squat about this guitar. i had to go thru the dealers and luthiers to do some modifications.
The Wow Factor
This guitar is beautifully crafted. I examined every inch of the guitar and everything about it makes me wanna play it.

"It's not the Gibson, but you can't beat the price!!"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars

A lot of people think that this is the guitar Dave Matthews plays, but it's not. Dave plays the GIBSON Chet SST, and really he hardly plays it anymore. Dave is now playing mostly Taylor acoustic guitars (his main one is a Taylor 714). I own the Gibson Chet and love it. It sounds fantastic for recording. I do reccomend that you string it with 11's, that is what it was made for, when I've used other gauge strings it is unbelievable how hard it is to keep in tune, but with 11's it is ALWAYS in tune. The Epiphone version is cool and for the price you would be hard press to find a more satisfying guitar!!

whatever I'm in the mood for, I love Dave Matthews

"Chet Atkins SST machine heads"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I have one that's about 10 years old I think I bought from Zzounds. If not.... I know I've purchased an amp and an Epiphone Les Paul from them. Either way ... the machine heads are really cheap .... I was hoping I could replace the machine heads with ones directly from Gibson or some other manufacturer ... Thanks

Musical Background:

Been playing since 1964. Have around 8 guitars and a few amps.

Musical Style:

Rock ... oldies (70's) ... some classical
