E-Mu 1820 Audio Interface Customer Review

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I don't think I could replace it unless someone has better converters.
Sound
The inputs are super clean and the outputs are superb, I could do with out the weak sounding pre amps but other then that I don't know a better way to spend $500.00!
Features
very flexible routing, with asio to boot.
Quality
If you can find something equal or better under 7K and have the same feature set you can't be on earth!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to call them and it's only had one patch to download to date since I brought it.
The Wow Factor
It could look better. Kinda looks like a toy.

"Beware"

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This is a fine product that unfortunately has been left for dead by the parent company of Emu, Creative. The last driver update was well over 2 years ago and was a BETA driver for Win 7. There has been NO news or communication since about a stable driver and nothing for Win 8. The support staff is very friendlu and it's a shame because when pressed they will tell you they wish they had an answer about driver updates but they are told nothing. The Emu audio interface products are essentially dead in the water unless you are still on XP and missing out on the tremendous performance advantages for audio production offered by Win 8. Stay away, stay far away.
