I replaced the stock pickups in my Squier Contemporary Passive Jazz Bazz and let me tell you, this thing rocks! It has that great 70’s sound you always look for when playing classic rock. The install was simple. Note: If your pots have splined shafts, you will need to order new ones designed with a set screw. I bought my 3 off of EMG’s website for $6.99 each. If you’re thinking about these, but them. You won’t be sorry.

Musical Background:

7 years on bass, many more years on drums and guitar.

Musical Style:

70’s-80’s classic rock. Even like some 80’s hair bands.

"That 70's Jazz Bass Sound Minus the Cycle HUM!"

Unbelievable! EMG has captured the sound of the '70s Fender Jazz Bass but eliminated that awful cycle hum that was always present when you didn't have both pickups dialed to the same position. The installation was as easy as pie since EMG also eliminated the need for soldering. Impressive to say the least.

Musical Background:

Been playing music now for 51 years. I play Bass Guitar, Drums and Trumpet Actively.

Musical Style:

Christian, R&B / Soul/Funk and Classic Rock.
