I bought a chibson and stripped it down and threw these pickups and electronics in it and it sounds great. I also put a tune-o-matic bridge, Gibson tail piece and replaced the nut but that's besides the point but It MAY contribute to the overall sound. The metal tones offer great sustain and plenty of headroom and remind me a LOT of the EMG 81 but these clean up SO much better. I'm almost mad at myself for putting them in a chibby.

Just got this set in. I put them in a LTD H-1001 that originally had the 81/85. Yes the 81/85 is a timeless combo bit these to me sound so much cleaner and clear. They respond amazingly. The cleans barely break up and not muddy at all. And when put through distortion it just gets better. Only thing I would do differently is ordered one of the EMG switches just to save some time on hooking it all up

Haven't had to deal with EMG for any kind of support. So I can't say anything

After dialing in my amps, These pickups sounds really good and I can hear the single coil through high gain better than before and I am impressed with the tones I can get.

You will have to route the pickup cavity deeper. There are a lot of different configurations on the wiring install. The idea of the push pull on these pickups is a really cool idea, BUT, these pickups are really hot and you really don’t hear good clarity.... they love high gain and with that much gain I really don’t see the point. Don’t get me wrong, that sound great on gain, but when you play clean and switch to the single coil, the clarity is just not there. So if you love the sound of the 57/66 EMG’s, just buy the regular EMG 57/66 set. If you want the push pull with more clarity, just do yourself a favor and get the Fishman Fluence Modern set. I may sell these and go fishman.
