I downsized from an 18 inch sub to a 15, but after using this sub at a couple of events not only was load in and out easier because the weight was reduced by 25 lbs and the size was much easier to handle. The biggest surprise was sound wise I feel it improved overall. A tighter sound and using it with my dxr-10s gives a great overall sound experience. Mfg support has not been used so no rating for that category.

weight and bass is perfected i could travel with this speaker in my car, i dont need a van ,i brought the ekx 18 back because it was too heavy for me going up the stairs all the time so i rather buy 2 15 and call it a day i will get the 18 in the future when i have more space. but i can assure you the 15inch.. ekx speaker rocks

When shopping for subs, and after settling on EVs for both tops and bottoms, I decided on the EKX-15SP because of the size, weight, and easy for transportation. I drive a Honda pilot and it fits well when I load my equipment. If I had bought the 18, I'm sure it would take up more space and if I wanted 2 subs then it would make things more complex when loading up my gear. I wanted something powerful yet small enough to transport. The sub is perfect for me. It's bangs to my satisfaction and plan on buying another sub in the future. Highly recommend to the mobile/event DJs of the world. i have used them for weddings, high school dances, halls, and they sound great with my 15 EXKs Tops.

I downsize from ETX-18SP to EKX-15SP this is unbelievable, chest pounding, wall shaking, only 58lbs compare to 104lbs. I don't need help for transport anymore. I'm very surprised about the sound quality.
