Absolutely, positively, hands down and without a doubt -THE BEST $140.00 I've ever spent on my recording signal chain. Guitars and basses that used to sit in the rack because they were just to noisy to use are back in play! I've no side effects from this pedal whatsoever. No slap back effect as another reviewer has claimed. No hiss or any alteration of the original tone. I wish I knew about this pedal sooner. If you have noise in your recording signal get this and you won't!

"All the Tone Without the Hum"

I use this in a home studio next to a computer. With an older CRT or older flat screen I thought it didn't work at all and asked for a return. Then as a last effort after trying everything else, I switched to a new flat screen and it worked fantastic!! My stratocaster hum was totally gone and if there was any tone change at all I don't hear it. Per the other review you do have to try it at different places in your pedal chain as it did the slapback when first in the chain, but works great as last or in the effects loop.

"Hum Debugger"

I love Electro-Harmonix and own half a dozen of their pedals. However, this one was bad. No, not bad that it didn't work. Bad as in not a good pedal.I have a fairly standard setup - Gibson SG, Seymour Duncan pickups, and tube amp. When turned on, the Hum Debugger worked great at getting rid of the hum. What it also did was it added a slap-back delay to my sound. Not acceptable. I ended up returning it for another pedal. It's a shame because I love the company and every other pedal I've bought from them (especially their Chorus and Distortion pedals). Even my tubes are EHX.
