This is the Muff pedal that I've been looking for... for years.The attack and bass boost controls seemed subtle at first, but now that I understand them, I couldn't imagine the pedal without them.The mids control can be set to be subtle, or anything but. And the expression pedal function is really fun with a bass for some synth-bass type sounds.Which brings me to another added bonus, this pedal sounds every bit as good on bass as it does guitar, and the attack and bass boost controls shine when it is used with a bass.A 5-star review is very rare from me, but this one exceeded my expectations in every way.I haven't played them all, but I suspect that this may be the most versatile, and best sounding, Muff out there.

Pleasing, both visually and sonically. Arrived with a 9V Energizer Industrial battery pre-installed. The battery has no containment apparatus and thus relies upon bends of ribbon cable to hold it in place. 4 - Phillips head screws attach the backplate to the unit. But, there is no need to open the unit until the battery needs replaced. The unit is shipped without any isolating layer between the battery contacts and the battery. Unit is ready to go right out of the box.
