So I was trying to find the best option for the most reasonable price and I took a chance on getting this and man I am glad I did! These just came out about 6 months ago so there were no reviews- No videos- it looked sturdy and wanted to see what all the hype is about the direct drive and they are INCREDIBLE.This pedal is well Built and exceeded all my expectations. Like the one guy said- I didn’t make sure all the screws and bolts were tight and some stuff came loose after a couple jam sessions but just a quick tighten and that was 4 months ago. The response is amazing and I’ll never go back to a chain drive. zZounds makes getting gear so much more attainable than ANY of its competitors. Nobody is doing it as good as zZounds! They all have Affirm, and credit checks for payment plans that SUCK. zZounds is number one ☝

After using the pedal for about a month, it started to develop a skip/delay in the smoothness of the stroke.... checked everything... found the problem!!! loose beater holder!! cranked it down!! love the pedal!! new to me...been a single pedal user for53 yrs.. new technique ..working on it... Direct drive is the only way to go! stared with strap went to direct drive..went to double chain...back to Direct Drive..wont go back pdp is the best bang for the buck..
