Drum Workshop Collectors Series Snare Drum
With sleek black nickel plating and a 1mm thick shell, this DW snare looks as awesome as it sounds. Get a clear, bright tone with a decidedly metallic crack.

First off I personally feel like if youre not doing business with zZounds, somethings wrong. Their customer service and ease of purchase options ROCK! As far as this snare...IMPECCABLE! Unboxing it was awesome. Everything was intact with no damage or flaw. Once I tuned it and played it... I was absolutely blown away with its response, crack and tone. Its a solid workhorse that every drummer should have.

First of all thank you zZounds for giving me the ability to purchase this wonderful snare through your payment plan!!! This is definitely the best snare I've ever played. I changed the batter head to a coated emperor when I first received it and inspected the shell for any deformities and there was none!! As soon as I tuned it up I played and instantly knew this was already my favorite snare, everything about it is great and it is so versatile. Hardware is top notch, unlike a black beauty. if you're looking for a snare that will upgrade your kit and make you say wow, this is it.

I was very excited to get this 8 by 14 inch snare drum I played it for two shows I have video footage that shows it was Out Of Tune by the second song at three and a half minutes on both shows I was very sad to have to return this snare drum but for $460 it had to go back so drum Workshop cost me the money to return the snare drum and wasted two weeks of my time on a snare drum that is not worth it it's beautiful looking and very heavy but it's a snare drums not stay in tune it's not worth your time

So I had bought this drum with very high expectations (obviously.), and I shouldn't have.
Don't get me wrong, the drum is very high quality, built like a tank, amazing hardware, BUT. When my drum arrived the shell was about 2mm out of round making it horribly difficult to tune. Once I learned how to tune it being warped it sounds awesome, it just makes life difficult in the process. Long story short, it's a great drum. But until DW steps up their quality control, it's the last time they'll see another dime from me.
