I will continue to use this product until they are dropped from the line (hopefully never!)
Sound
I use these strings on an American Fender Jazz Bass (all stock) and they are LOUD. I've played for over 30 yrs. and tried many other brands and models, but after the first time using this set 4 yrs ago, I'm staying with these. Not only loud, but bright AND has bottom end enough to blend well for a variety of playing styles.
Quality
These outlast any other string I've used and fret wear is minimal. They stand up to picks, finger, slapping/ popping and any other hard playing style I've subjected them to. Haven't broken one yet!
Value
This sound at these prices is a HUGE value!

"These Strings are awesome for Bass!!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
I just put the DR Fat Beams on my Spector and it simply sprang to life. Showed up at the gig and people were asking what I did to make my bass sound so good. Love the response of them, the tone, and how even/balanced the strings are up and down the neck as well as across the fretboard.
Features
Outside of the responsiveness and tone, how even the volume of the strings are across all 5 strings.

Sound
My Ibanez bass just didn't sound right. I had changed strings, and still didn't have that sound. It sound kind of off key even after tuning. I've been thinking seriously about buying a Musicman, just to get that sound I was looking for. I decided to try these strings. WoW. These strings give a whole new meaning to the bass guitar. You can spend as much money on a bass as you like. But before you do, try these strings. I will never buy anything but DR Fat Beams from now on. linmean262@yahoo.com
