"DOD has done it again with the loudest, most kick-ass distortion pedal of all time: The FX86B, Death Metal Distortion!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I expect this pedal to last me for a long time. If ever I have to replace it, I will replace it with another of its kind, or a Boss DS1 distortion or Ibanez Tubescreamer.
Sound
The sound of this pedal is incredible. It offers such a wide range of distortion--anywhere from Lynyrd Skynyrd to ACDC to Black Sabbath to Emperor. The only thing that could possibly make this pedal better would be the addition of a distortion control knob.
Features
Everything about this pedal is useful.
Quality
The DOD Death Metal Distortion pedal is very well made. I have dropped it several times from about a 6 foot height and it has yet to break or malfunction in any way. I've kickd it multiple times, but it just keeps up with every bit of abuse you dish out (whether it be accidentally or on purpose).
Value
It was way worth the price

The Wow Factor
It's like Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in a pedal. If you don't want it, you're insane.

"Versatile pedal, with a low belch and awesome tone!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Just all around great distortion pedal, for metal players.
Sound
This pedal is quite versatile. Don't let the name of it fool you, I can get anything from an overdriven amp to thrash metal. I love the way you can make it belch with low end response. Great for solos and for speed metal. Plus, it's also very affordable.
Features
You can adjust it to the sound you want, from death metal, to overdrive rock.
Quality
Good construction, watch out when you taking the battery out, i accidently pulled the positive wire out of the unit and had to solder it back on, careful!
Value
Well worth what you pay.
Manufacturer Support
I bought it from someone, haven't needed customer support.

I intend to keep this pedal for a long time so I would fix it rather tha replacing it if it was lost or stolen I'd buy the same pedal agian
Sound
this pedal is awesome it has tons of variations of tones it's unbeliveable for the money it's the best
Features
The pedal has a great selection of componets that work for what i need it for and for most others
Quality
This peadal seems like it will last a long time the only thing to worry about with it and most other DOD's is the flip open battery door which breaks easy
Value
This is a great pedal for the price you pay
Manufacturer Support

DOD FX86B Death Metal Distortion Pedal Customer Review

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
The sound is crisp and clear, a lot more profound then the standard distortion on my amp.
Features
The features are pretty much standard. Low, Mid, High, volume.
Quality
Good quality. Unfortunately, the resistance eats up too much power going to the amp, so when I turn off the pedal, the clean sound on my amp is very weak sounding. Otherwise, it's made to last.
Value
Worth the price in terms of other 80-100 dollar pedals. The only real problem is the power going into the amp when the pedal is turned off.
Manufacturer Support
havent needed support
The Wow Factor
I guess it's cool

"Noisy as hell. Hisssssssssssss..."

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Look elsewhere.
Sound
As long as you don't have any pauses or breaks in your music you might be happy with this pedal. However, the moment you try and mute the strings the horrible 30db hiss that is created by this thing becomes apparent.
Features
The standard gain, and low, mid, high eq setup.
Quality
I've had this thing for about five years and it's still hissing just fine.
Value
If you want a distortion pedal to play music with your guitar, don't get this one. If you want a distortion pedal to do sound deconstruction with, then this is a great tool. A very specialized piece of gear, and not for guitar.
