"Really Amazing"

The perfect answer for a one man band. Drum and bass backup is intuitive and almost infinitely variable. The looper is the easiest to use I've ever experienced. Several ways to initiate it means easy "alignment" with any song. Add infinite overdubs and you've got some intricate guitar backing. The intelligent output jacks mean it sounds great whether you have a PA only, a guitar amp only, or both. With just a guitar amp the loop is clean and the bass & drums are eq'ed to sound right through the amp speaker. With just a PA the drums & bass are clean and the loop has cabinet emulation added so that it sounds right through the PA. Having both is the best solution but you're mot limited to this. The included FX loop makes hooking up pedals a cinch. Finally, the ability to store all your songs on micro SD cards makes it perfect for performing. Twelve songs per card will accumulate into an impressive repertoire. With the accompanying software, it's easy to set up song sets to your liking. I absolutely love it.

"An absolute bargain, a songwriter's dream!"

I received this pedal just a short 24 hours ago, and I've already constructed two entire songs using it. A word of advice -- download the manual before you receive it, read it over, and you'll be a step ahead and ready to maximize your use of it once it arrives. Digitech obviously took the feedback they received from the original Trio and incorporated it into this pedal. $300 may seem a little steep but I assure you, for the functionality you receive in this unit it's an absolute bargain, a song creator's dream! I am running guitar into my Fender '65 DRRI, and bass and drums into a powered Kustom PA monitor -- it sounds like a backing band is in the room with me. The bass and drums sound killer, and the individual volume controls for each part help you dial in the perfect mix. The Trio Plus will often interpret your initial riff as twice the tempo you had in mind, but with the Alt Tempo button you can quickly halve the tempo and create the perfect groove. The Looper is excellent as well -- MUCH less noisy than my beloved BOSS-RC3, which sadly has been kicked off its place of honor on my pedalboard. All in all, the flexibility, sound, creativity, and functionality of this pedal is positively off the charts. As a very lucky guy who makes a living playing music, I cannot possibly recommend this pedal enough!

"Does the trick!"

The trio + does the trick of being your backing band as long as you set it up before hand. I wouldn't' try to teach it live. It is great for modern pop, r&b and hip hop styles Because they are synthesized. You can tell it's a midi drum machine and synth. It won't replace a real band. It's great for the one man band who needs backing. It saves 12 songs to a micro sd card. 2 or 3 cards and your good for a gig. The styles and variations are good. If you play simple rhythms and minor, major and 7th chord changes to teach it, you'll get mostly what your looking for. It's Band in a box in a pedal amazing.

"Handy yet Forgetful"

Bought my TRIO+ in January 2017 - fun gadget for a one-man-band songwriter who sits in front of his DAW all day watching little colored tracks moving left to right. Most useful for testing out new song ideas, where I just strum the chords and rhythm on a guitar or digital kbd and select one of the 100+ bass/drum backing tracks and run the result into my DAW. I use it every day - it's the quickest way to test. And then.. there's the problem... the one not often mentioned... this thing seems menstrual in that it frequently decides to just slow down and bleed the playback tempo of your whole song - renders it useless.. it then gets erased and the TRIO+ gets a complete reset, and sometimes tempos will be correct after that reset... sometimes they still drag. I've had to unplug it for hours before it regained proper tempo. Came close just last night to taking a sledge hammer to it - Real Close!! Digitech won't fess up to the flaw and leaves their support guys out on a limb looking for answers. BUT... Besides all that, I swear by this thing for getting song ideas to test quick.

The overall design stinks, impossible to learn to use as advertised. Can’t match your style of “teaching“ it and gives you 5 seconds to do it. Two page start up manual doesn’t match the steps to learn the basics of the thing.
