"It's a good multi-effects. But it's not the end all be all. At the price can't resist."

How long do you expect to be satisfied with this product before searching for another product? 6ms to a year. Will you supplement it or replace it? Yes! What would lead you to search for another product - would you wear this out, seek some specific feaures, keep this but seek additional or different sounds and features? How would you compare this product to others you considered, and why did you choose this one (if you bought it)? Does this product help you meet your musical goals? If the product were lost or stolen, would you replace it or buy something else - if so what else? A better Digatech model. What do you wish you knew before you bought it? What do you like most about it? Price and manual. What do you like least about it? To be honest it's effects are not quite there but very very closes. The price really turned me on.
Sound
I've gave up on rating things highly so don't ignore this because I've given it a 7. For 60 bucks it has 18 amp sims and 13 cab sims. A pickup sim (humbugging or single coil). 4 wah wahs. 2 compressors, 9 distortion pedals(including Ibanez TS-9 tube screamer,DOD 250 O/pre, Rat, Boss DS-1, digitech grunge, Boss metal zone, DOD Gonkulator. Arbiter Fuzz Face, EH Big Muff pi(e). Full EQ if using a USB Computer. An excellent noise gate(I'd buy this for this alone). Chorus/FX, Flanger, Phaser, Vibrato, Leslie sim, Tremolo, panner, envelop filter, AutoYa, Step filter, Pitch shift, Detune, Intelligent pitch shifting(If you want good quality harmonizing get something good cause this doesn't do a 1/1000th of what it says it will do only on the IPS and PS. 5 Delays digital to tape. 6 re-verbs. A set of drums with variables 0bpm 99bpm and lots different kits and metronome(very impressive for the price). 50 preset and 50 user defined preset.
Features
Did the product include accessories? No. What are the most useful features?Flexibility. What are the least useful features? The USB for my setup anyway. Are there any features you wish it had? Yeah a Eventide Harmonizer but I don't ask much, hee hee. All is good, really.
Ease of Use
All is great most especially the manual. Clear and concise. No learning curve, just hook up and play. 2 months in and I'm still trying to get great sounds from this product from this thing. That's not to say it doesn't have great sounds. I'm trying for perfection.
Quality
Excellent piece of hardware.
Value
No!
Manufacturer Support
ZZSounds is excellent at making things right. I've never had to deal Digatech?

"Perfect for a simple hobby type studio."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

Features
Features is a pointless category. I've seen drumsticks get low marks for features. In the case of the RP150, if it doesn't have all the features you want, you should be looking at the next model in the lineup. It does exactly what it is designed to do.
Ease of Use
I would like a number pad to allow going straight to a preset, rather than having to cycle through 1 at a time...... but that's a minor complaint. Other than a bit of wasted time, this so easy a vocalist could do it.
Quality
For the most part, the quality seems very solid. However, the power supply port feels EXTREMELY dodgy. It reminds me of a child's loose tooth. I don't expect the Stomp Box Fairy to give me cash when it falls out though.
The Wow Factor
A purely objective category. Does anyone buy an item thinking "This is horrid and I don't have any desire to own this"?

"Awesome Effects!!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I think that this would be what I would stick with, unless I got the RP250 for the built in variation pedal it has.
Sound
This processor has some pretty awesome effects.
Features
It's great for a large range of sounds. I also love the metal case, it makes it a little more durable.
Ease of Use
It's pretty easy to use, I only had to check the manual to figure a few things out, and it was pretty easy to understand.
Quality
I guess it's pretty good, but the noise gate doesn't work on mine. It still can offer pretty good sounds without it, but it just isn't quite the same...
Value
This is definitely worth the money, but I really don't think I would spend any more money on it than I did.
Manufacturer Support
I really haven't dealt with the service, but I have heard from my friend, who also has this product, that their service is pretty good.
The Wow Factor
It looks alright, but the cover over the face of it started peeling off of mine. Now it has a ton of ugly air bubbles in it.

"Great little box with some new features that are indispensable."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

I have to give this a 10 overall because of the two features I mentioned in the features section. FINALLY, someone is giving me a multi that I can use as an effects box on the end of my pedal chain. I can drive the amp with all my usual stompers, not the modeler, and use this as an EQ, Verb, Modulation, Gate, Pitch Shift, all those things that usually go on the end of a board. Then, I can turn all the amp/cab modelling on, hit the mixer switch, and use my regular pedal board as a DI! The boost/distortion stompers won't sound the same, so I still have to set up a number of DI presets. Still, very handy. I guess the disclaimer is that I haven't gigged with this thing as a DI yet, but it can't be any worse than the RP200 I WAS using as my DI.
Sound
This thing has a good array of effects. I'm going with 8 because I'd say about 80% of the effects sound good enough to use. Of those, about 80% sound really good. Technicly that works out to a 6.4, but I think 8 is fair. ;)
Features
I'm giving features a 10 because of two main things. One, you can finally turn amp/cab modelling off and run this inline with all your other effects. Indispensable. Don't know what it took this long to come up with that. Two, the mixer/amp switch. YES, why didn't they do this a long time ago? Now you can put this unit on your pedal board, and still be balanced if you need to go DI into a PA. It also has your usual vast array of tones and effects that can't be beat, and it comes with all the usual goodies.
Ease of Use
Let's face it, multis are never really easy to use. This one is about as simple as any. I give it an 8, but it would be hard for a multi to get a 10 from me in ease of use.
Quality
10. No complaints about quality. Mine is a refurb, and it works like a dream. Solid built. Feels and sounds like it would hold up for years.
Value
10. Multis also tend to get a high value from me. It would be hard to give less than an 8 to something that comes with so many sounds/effects/models for less than $100. Great for new players to experiment with. Useful for older players to get a grab bag of effects for occasional use, plus a good DI for backup.
Manufacturer Support
- Did not use.
The Wow Factor
This thing can be quite eye catching and cool. 8 because the real sex appeal is in boutique stompers, but this can still be an eye-catching device.

"Little Box of Sonic Joy"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
While building a budget project studio, I was looking for something to give my guitar tracks a little oomph and also a good practice box. The audio interface was a welcome surprise. Overall, I'd say this is a solid 8. It's a great unit - you won't be disappointed.
Sound
This is a handy lil box of sonic goodness. Right out of the box, it sounds great - the added software, altough a little finicky on my mac - is a HUGE plus and lets you dial in your own unique patches in a flash.
Features
The USB audio interface is simply awesome. You get a nice clean, stereo track, great for recording or just laying down ideas. The software has quite a few options for amps and effects as well. Drum sounds are quite good for practicing.
Ease of Use
The actaul unit is small and there is only a small LED for feedback, but the software helps with this. Triggering drums is easy and patch selection is pretty much instantaneous.
Quality
Feels pretty sturdy!
Value
Honestly, an incredible value. At this price it's a no-brainer.
The Wow Factor
Not getting rid of it, that's for sure!

"Great product - Don't miss "

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
The amp modeling is the best I've heard so if you have a multi K dollar amp head or a practice amp, the RP150 will get you a tone you can perform or practice with.
Sound
The presets are pretty generic. The JMP-1 gets you very close without much tweaking. But the RP150 has a very easy interface to tweak your sound either by the fantastic software patch or the dials on the unit. Then your sound can emulate anything. The Digitech website has a feature rich demo and useful tips for getting your sound. If you want Neal Schon or Jimmy Page or Kerry King or Joe Satriani, or Vai, it’s all here. It gets really heavy for thrash and has an excellent tone for SRV. If you can’t get your sound from this unit then you might want to check your amp, your guitar, or your hands.
Features
Tuner, Bypass, Drum click, stereo out, premium noise gate, USB, headphones
Ease of Use
So easy a My Chem Romance/3Day Grace/Disturbed fan could use it. (That's the same crap amp tone all these idiots use. FYI)
Quality
Use side by each JMP-1 RP150. It is rack housed at this time and has been road worthy for well over a year.
Value
Tried at music shop before purchasing, This is a steal at any price.

"Regular old guitar guys thoughts on the RP150"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Pretty good overall, I bought a couple for Christmas gifts, If your looking to play around with effect, other sounds, and have fun without buying lots of stand alone pedals, This is worth buying.
Sound
Sound is good, lots of settings to choose from. Many settings sound the same or are so close they sound the same. Great for distortion, adding some fill in guitar sounds to tracks your recording.
Features
Downside to this pedal is no pedal, maybe you need one maybe you don't, I wish I would have bought one with the built in pedal for my style of playing. Upside, USB port(CABLE NOT INCLUDED) for direct recording, which is great when you have a riff idea or are working on something you don't want to forget...save it on a computer. Good for recording your rhythm track and then playing your lead over it.
Ease of Use
Easy to use, I even used it with a mic to make sound weird sounds and voice changes.
Quality
Well made. The DC power jack on mine is tight, no worries of it coming unplugged. No power off button, which sucks, I use a power surge strip to kill power.
Value
Good for the money, enough settings to make playing guitar interesting. I would recomend this over other brands.
Manufacturer Support
Never needed to use support,
The Wow Factor
No sex appeal felt, maybe they should make the enclosure or case in the shape of a woman...then maybe...maybe

"Dont get the RP50 get the RP150. Night and day IMO"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
pretty amazing what you can get for a hundred bucks. Is a pro going to gig with this probably not but your probably not a PRO. Its fun and for 90% of the people it will do the job.
Sound
I give it an 8 because its a decent modeler and a light year better than the RP50. I originally bought the rp50 and sent it back and got them to send me the RP150. Let me tell you its a keeper. I only give it an 8 because it doesnt quite capture the real deal but for 99 bucks it should be a 9+ IMO. I dont give out 10s easily.
Features
I like the knob much better for fine tuning stuff.
Ease of Use
just started using the computer editor seems pretty good so far
Quality
look all I really want to say if your even thinking of getting the older rp50 dont. this blows it away. In sound, in technology and most important to me it has a good sounding drum machine. Where the one on the old rp50 is a joke.
Value
Pretty amazing for a benjie
Manufacturer Support
havent used the support yet
The Wow Factor
If I was to get another maybe I would go for the higher end digitech but this is nice starter effects unit.

"Very good, can't beat the price."

This will inspire you to create. Get it.
Sound
I've been playing for over ten years and for the money this unit can't be beat. I doubt that any other manufacturer could do much better in this price range. More than adequate for home recording.
Features
All the effects I expect plus a few I didn't. And the fact that this unit has USB audio is a tremendous advantage. This saves a lot of time configuring an external USB audio device that would had doubled the cost of the setup. Also I should mention that the USB audio, although not officially supported, works just fine with Linux. Another advantage...
Ease of Use
I haven't needed to read the manual yet.. That should say it all. Pretty slick arrangement of controls.
Quality
Metal case. overall one of the better units. Perfect for your irresponsible teenage son that smashes all his toys and expect new ones the next day.
Value
As stated above, this is definitely worth every penny and more.
Manufacturer Support
haven't needed it yet.
The Wow Factor
Not swayed be looks.
