Denon DJ VL12 Prime Direct-Drive Turntable

This direct-drive DJ turntable has it all: a quiet isolated motor, switchable torque, true quartz lock -- even eye-catching RGB lighting on the platter edge.

I'm sure there will be plenty of DJ reviews soon, but I'm coming at this from a different angle. I'm just a vinyl/turntable enthusiast. I'm not a DJ nor do I do any mixing. I've owned several medium to high-end belt dive turntables as well as the venerable Technics SL-1200MK2, SL-1200MK5 and the Pioneer PLX-1000. This isn't just for DJ's although it's clearly a DJ deck. But the sound this beast produces blew me away. I wasn't expecting this. I already prefer this turntable to my Technics and PLX-1000. The only disappointment is the lack of a dust cover. Nice job Denon DJ. And the customer service from zZounds has been stellar. Some of the best customer service I've received from any retailer.
