Great guitar. Great great guitar. For the price, this one is hard to beat. Great pickups (no hum whatsoever), comfortable neck. I love the D'Angelico signature design. The headstock is simply beautiful. Everyone always compliments me on this guitar. Totally worth it.

So, I have had this guitar in my possession for several months now and feel I have played it and look at it enough that I am finally able to give a honest review. First off, the body of the guitar, the color, in shape are really really nice. It is essentially a chubbier Les Paul it fits wonderfully in your lap, standing also the weight is not hurtful on the shoulders. The maple fretboard is perfectly paired to the body color-wise. This coupled with the block inlays make one of the nicest pictured guitars I have ever purchased. The head of the guitar is oddly shaped, but I have learn to live with it. The tuning knobs are wretched to say the least and snatch them off as soon as you can it helps. The tuning knobs are wretched, it looks like a beautiful woman with huge ears. Luckily I had a donor set and now her ears are more proportioned to the rest of her body. Play ability wise it does fine the fretboard has jumbo frets which aren't gaudy, actually and seem to not take up too much room on the fretboard. The pickups aren't anything to write home about and I feel like I will replace them soon. Unless someone with enough pull at zZounds reads this. Otherwise I just have to sneak the money by my wife to buy a better set. Maybe. Would I buy this guitar again? No. Am I disappointed I bought it? I'll put it this way, if I had the opportunity to go back in time I would love to try in SG, or higher- end Epiphone Les Paul for $700. That being said if you enjoy guitars that are more focused on styling this will be a great guitar for you especially if you love art deco era designs. I thought I did. I come to realize that I like art deco designed lamps not guitars. I hope this review helps. The folks at zZounds are awesome, as I had to return the first one I got because the bridge pickup just died. I was unable to swap for a different axe. But if they would change their mind and decide to do some switching with me I would be tickled pink. I see a lot of rack time for this guitar in the near future. Hope this helps and remember customer service folks you have my contact information, and if you don't reach me on the phone, email me.
