I went from 4 way Pioneer 12" speakers that handled 120 watts ( i think ). they were old but always loud 'enough'. I just got these carvin ve12's and powered them with a harmon kardon 120watt per channel receiver. I am extremely satisfied. I would someday like to put a full 300 watts rms to the carvins, but even now I cant crank them when playing vinyl because the bass is so high it feeds back through the needle.
