I've had my nifty case for about 4 months now and I've been waiting a while to write something up on it. I love my nifty so much I argue with myself daily about when to order a second one. As a beginner for the price you kind of can't beat it. It has the usb for you to work with your daw and midi din for controller/sequencer and the 2 cv and gates. The cellz module I found to work best for modulation rather than sequencing a pattern. I'm not a huge chiptune fan but I love that I can get some really fat and deep bass from it. I'm real back amd forth on the modules that came with it but the case itself is perfect for beginners and advanced users alike. I will be purchasing a second one sooner than later and the fact the make ears accessories to connect 2 is great! If I could just find the ears in stock anywhere

…and that’s the best thing I can say about it. If you’re going experimental with it the included modules aren’t the worst thing I’ve heard, but they aren’t particularly tunable. There are some features described in the listing that either don’t work on the unit I received or were outright lies (ie: being able to change the octave of the oscillators on the vco). Has some noise through the built in 1/4” out. Included cables are sub par. The rails are out of whack and took some force to fit my Moog mother 32. The midi/usb to cv implementation is weak (as in the voltage sent does not match notes sent and tunes lower so maybe a passive cv split?). It’s a lot of features for a little price tag (comparatively) so it’s somewhat understandable.
