only thing you have to do when its unpacked is to connect it with wires to cabinet! it can be done within 30 sec!
Quality

"The honest truth about this product from an honest Christian"

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
it is a solidstate amp,(and we all know that tube amps rule), so it is only a matter of time to put the money together to afford an all tube head.
Sound
I personally beleive that there should be 3 individual E.Q.'s for the clean, rhythm, and solo channels. the problem w/switching back between rhythm and solo is that they share the same low, mid, and high; therefore i have to constantly redial my settings everytime. i dont beleive i can excell on stage if i have to stop playing to change settings every time i change channels.
Features
this amp came with a three channel footswith that also included a switch for the reverb."Superb Job!"
Quality
it could stand more abuse on the road because it is a solid state and i dont have to worry about tubes breaking. cosmetics look clean. i personally keep this as a backup because i also own a 150w all tube head.
Value
i feel i truly got my moneys worth for the gt1200h.
Manufacturer Support
the only way i could contact crate was through the internet. "They Don't know how to pick up a damn phone!!!"
The Wow Factor
it looks pretty schnazzy.

"Good stuff for the price."

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Great amp for the price. Good solid state. I'd rather have a loud tube head, but seeing how expensive they are, I will settle for this.
Sound
The sound is good. For example, the rhythm channel is great for punk and the solo channel is great for metal. Personally, I like the sound of my stompbox better, but the distortion is decent. Add some reverb to the solo channel and set your guitar's three way switch to 1 (neck PU only) and you will be amazed by the sound. The clean channel is really the reason why I got this. The preamps make it sound very nice. Not too crisp but not too warm.
Features
The footswitch is great. The reverb is okay. No effects. That could be good or bad depending on if you use them or not.
Quality
Everything works great so far.
Value
This is a great deal. Very low price for a lot of power.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to contact them.
The Wow Factor
Doesn't look very cool. But its not ugly.

"AWESOME DISTORTION AND CLEAN CHANNEL WITH TONS OF HORSEPOWER"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
For Years i was a marshall and fender man. Fender being the more stable of the two. After years of expensive repairs and even some big let downs at shows by the marshall heads, I bought my first Crate in 1991. a tube driver 50 (which i still have and it works perfectly) later i bought a few crate half stacks and full stacks. Always a solid amp that doesnt leave you hunting for a back up amp at a show. The gt1200h is a solid amp with three seperate channels. Yes finally an amp with a solo channel with it's own volume, gain and tone control! i've owned the gt1200h Since 2005 and i've had no reason to replace it! heacvy driving distortion and crystal clear clean channel. it really does the trick!! To those having problems with distortion... buy better speakers. but the speakers in the Gt 1200h 412 cabinet work very well for distortion. currently i'm running a line 6 cab with celestion gt12 70/80s which most people say are bad about robbing distortion.....However. using the gt1200h head makes it scream with distortion. so a lower watt speaker should really break up well. I've used my gt1200h in the studio and live and when others hear the recording they always ask....are you playing through a marshall? THEY ARE ALWAYS SURPRISED TO FIND OUT IT'S A CRATE. many top names use Crate amps today. (Warren Haynes of gov't mule being one of them.)

"RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!"

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I was dissatisfied about 2 days after I bought it but couldnt get a refund and no one wants to buy the damn thing.
Sound
I have had this amp for 4 years now and It still sounds like garbage. I have yet to get even close to the sound I want from this thing. The only channel that is worth anything is the clean channel. Why would I spend that much for ONE CHANNEL!?!?! yea the price is good for what you are getting. But I should have known from the price that I was in for a cheap product. This amp is nothing but mud on the other channels. Distortion sucks and all I get is feedback no matter if i'm 20 feet away from it. GO TUBE AND DON'T THINK TWICE
Features
Sure you get 3 channels with a footswitch and reverb, WOW I don't care how many features it has if the sound sucks....
Ease of Use
Easy to use cause all you need to know is this, No matter how many knobs you turn it still sounds like junk.
Quality
O.K. that cabnet is solid the head is sturdy but I DON'T CARE IF IT SOUNDS LIKE CRAP! Sound to me is a part of quality.
Value
Don't waste your money. take the $500 or so and save it and put it toward an awesome tube amp.
Manufacturer Support
Wrote to them many times and never heard back
The Wow Factor
Looks like a pro amp and stands out... STILL SUCKS!

Crate GT1200H Guitar Amp Customer Review

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Features
Comes with a great footswitch made of metal, good for stage use, has lights to show which channel you're on. can switch to any channel and turn reverb on and off from the pedal. nice amount of knobs to mess around with to get a good sound, though I would have liked separate mid, high and low knobs as opposed to them being controlled by the rhythm High, low and mid controls.
Quality
Very sturdy, I can sit on it and I feel no weakness in it, would be fine on the road, it is built to last and it shows.
