this is permanent - if i should kill, or lose this over the years i owuld scour the earth to find another. next up for me is a twelve string version. then perhaps a backup or two... or three
Sound
we've a 14 year running "professional" open mic in town - all seasoned players, all regulars, all with very nice martins, taylors, etc... the first night i brought this out i was repeatedly complimented on having the best sounding guitar there! that carried on to the next week. when i arrived, prior to my turn at the stage players from the previous week brought over those who missed last weeks shows to rave about the guitar. i've never had this much response to any of my toys!! :)
Features
besides the design, playability, tone, comfort et all, the tuner is so perfect - backlit, accurate...
Ease of Use
like butta..... butta i say. smooth fast action - makes me sound like i actually know what i am doing.
Quality
mahagany sides and back - cedar top - not one fret edge a single millimeter off, flawless - set up to perfection out of the box.
Value
would have been an incredible value at full list! would have been a steal at the regular store price!! i lucked out and got mine as a scratch and dent... and as stated above, couldn't find a single thing wrong - absolutely no visable reason so be labled as such. so for me, ....what would be better than a steal? ;)
Manufacturer Support
have had absolutely no need for support so..... 5 stars!!! having no need for support means they've the best "support" plan yet!
The Wow Factor
see above... the cedar top and mahogany sides/back gets wide eyed response as soon as it comes out. the bout, bridge and headstock cuts are understated esthetic brilliance.

"Even Better Than I Expected"

I was looking for something to take the place of my $2500 Taylor for gigs and this one had good reviews so I ordered it. My initial impression wasn't all that good and it had nothing to do with the overall quality of the guitar or it's playability. At first it simply didn't sound right to me or project the way I expected it to. Then a good friend of mine reminded me that I shouldn't expect it to sound exactly like my $2500 Taylor and he was correct. But after spending a little more time with it I was very surprised to find it was a lot closer than I thought. I still wasn't convinced I had the best guitar in this price range so I made a visit to a local music store and compared this one to a half dozen others ranging in price from $500 to $1500. Now I'm convinced. There wasn't another model that sounded or played any better (and some not nearly as good) even at the $1500 level. It wasn't until I got into those at $2000 and up that I began to notice much difference and again not as much as you'd expect from a $500 guitar. So in the final analysis I ended up very pleased with my choice. I wanted the best guitar I could find in a $500 price range to sub for my Taylor and I believe I found it. It's a very sweet sounding guitar, not quite as much chime as a Taylor, but not at all brittle or tinny like some. I believe the cedar top helps with that and I also like the string through bridge as opposed to bridge pins. Breedlove even provides a good quality gig bag, spare saddle and shims and the proper size Allen wrench for adjusting the truss rod. So as far as an acoustic/electric in a $500 price range this is the best I found at even twice the price. I gave it 5 stars for value and only graded it a little lower overall for not having better electronics but those can easily be upgraded if I choose to. This guitar is a best buy and as usual zZounds service was top notch. Two days from order to delivery at no additional cost.

"Completely worth the money."

This is a keeper, will be in herd of guitars for a long time.
Sound
Nice and clear tone. Think of it as a Taylor 314 including the complex overtones that justifies spending over $1300.00. Not as loud as some Gibsons but unusually loud for a small body.
Features
Nice comfortable body, cool tuner. Nice tuners.
Ease of Use
Smooth easy playing, nice set up. Low action and nice frets.
Quality
No manufacturing issues, good smooth finish.
Value
I would buy it again at $440.00. Got a good deal.
Manufacturer Support
No.
The Wow Factor
It is light and easy to play, I can play it all day!
