This is a heavy duty pedal with so many different great sounding amps and effects that I don't even know where to start. Well built is an understatement. The build of it screams professional. from the chassis to the knobs and expression pedal this thing feels Pro in every way.The amps are fewer than most companies offer but BOSS went the quality over quantity route here. From crystalline cleans to all out brutal and everything in between. The drives are excellent and so are the modulations, delays, and reverbs. I find them superior to my Helix actually. There's not enough room in this review box for me to go over everything I love. A couple things I do not love..There's no poly pitch in this unit. The assigns can be confusing at times especially when it comes to assigning the expression pedal. It was ok once I wrapped my head around it but it was definitely and obstacle I had to overcome. Overall this unit is well worth the 599 price tag. I have owned many modeling units for many years and this is one of the best I have had.

Wow! I have owned the Boss GX100 for several months now and this thing is absolutely incredible! With the shortest learning curve of any processor of it’s kind that I’ve used, the GX 100 is both a pleasure and a virtual power house! I’m a 50 plus year veteran of the guitar and I’ve owned more amps and electronics than I can even remember. Some excellent and some bad. I never thought that I would play through anything but a tube amplifier! It’s what I grew up with! But I am being as honest as I can when I say that I have the very best tone and sound that I’ve ever had! I wish that I had had this back in the day gigging and recording. It would have made things so much easier. I can’t carry around heavy equipment these days so in my humble opinion this is by far the best way to go. I use it with 2 FRFR 108 powered speakers and it sounds and feels as good as it gets! When I jam with my friends I just run it through the PA. And I really can’t say enough good things about zZounds! Great prices, great financing, and just an all around top notch company! Thanks guy’s!

Musical Background:

I started playing guitar in the late 60’s and have gigged and recorded for many, many years.

Musical Style:

Classic Rock of course, hard rock a little country, and whatever else I feel like playing.

The Boss GX-100 is a fantastic multi-effects processor that offers a wide range of features and capabilities, making it a great choice for guitarists of all levels. Here are some of the key highlights of the GX-100:•Amplifier models: The GX-100 includes a wide range of amplifier models, from classic vintage amps to modern high-gain monsters. The models are all very realistic and sound great, both on their own and when used in conjunction with effects.•Dual path functionality: The GX-100's dual path functionality allows you to create complex signal chains with dual amplifiers, parallel signal paths, and reverb and delays from the acclaimed 500-series pedals. This gives you a lot of flexibility to create the perfect sound for any genre of music.•Fully flexible signal chain: The GX-100's signal chain is fully flexible, allowing you to place effects in any order you want. This gives you a lot of control over your sound and allows you to create truly unique effects.•Super-low latency: The GX-100 has super-low latency, which means that you won't experience any noticeable lag between your playing and the effects. This makes it feel like you're playing through a real amp and pedalboard.•MIDI functionality: The GX-100 has MIDI functionality, which allows you to control it from other MIDI devices, such as a foot controller or keyboard. This gives you even more flexibility and control over your sound.•Metal housing: The GX-100 has a durable metal housing that is built to withstand the rigors of touring and gigging.•Touchscreen: The GX-100 has a color touchscreen display that makes it easy to create and edit patches.•Implementation with Boss Tone Studio: The GX-100 is compatible with Boss Tone Studio, which is a free software editor that allows you to create and edit patches on your computer. This gives you even more control over your sound and allows you to share patches with other GX-100 users.•Seamless spillover from patch to patch: The GX-100's seamless spillover feature allows you to switch between patches without any interruption to your sound. This is a great feature for live performances.•AIRD technology: The GX-100's AIRD (Augmented Impulse Response Dynamics) technology delivers a natural feel and optimized integration with all types of external devices. This means that the GX-100 will sound great whether you're playing through a guitar amp, FRFR Speakers, a PA system, or directly into a computer.Overall, the Boss GX-100 is an amazing multi-effects processor that offers a wide range of features and capabilities. It's a great choice for guitarists of all levels, from beginners to professionals. The GX-100 also has an advantage over the GT-1000 series:•Flexible signal chain: The GX-100's signal chain is fully flexible, allowing you to place effects in any order you want. The GT-1000 series, on the other hand, has a more fixed signal chain, with less flexibility.•Reverb and delay layering: The GX-100 allows you to layer multiple complex reverbs and delays in your signal chain. The GT-1000 series, on the other hand, only allows you to use one reverb in your signal chain, and one complex delay. The Boss GX-100 is a better option than the Line 6 POD Go and HX Stomp because:•The POD Go does not offer dual amps, a parallel path, or the same flexibility because of a somewhat fixed signal chain. It also has very limited DSP, which can make it difficult to layer complex effects.•The HX Stomp offers dual paths, but its limited DSP can still hinder your ability to layer complex effects.zZounds offers the GX-100 at a great price, with amazing customer service, flexible no-interest-rate financing, and a variety of shipping options. When ordering from zZounds, you will not be disappointed. I’ve been with zZounds for nearly a decade. Order your Boss GX-100 today!
